P18 for FKS 155

So I should have my like-new all blue P18's by the end of this week.  I kind of think the DIN range is a little higher than necessary for me though.  The FKS 155 would be perfect though, so is anyone interested in:

a) Trading and maybe making up the difference with cash or other goods.
b) Buying straight up if I find some FKS 155.
c) Just put those sick bindings on your sick new JJ's and sack up.

Let  me know if you are interested and I will take note when I get them.  I don't have pics yet but if you want them, like I said, I should have them by Friday or so.

As an alternative, you can just run your p18's at a reasonable DIN. The fact that you have 18 din  does not necessitate using all of the din provided.

Moreover, running the p18 at a lower din does not negatively impact the performance of the binding.  Switching to a 155 serves no real purpose since the retention level of a p18 @ 10 will be the same as a 155 @ 10. Myself and numerous others ride 18 din bindings at 10ish simply because it was easier to get factory wide p18's over 155's.

So it won't have any negative impact to ride them at 9 or 10?  I have heard of bindings releasing too easily if they are ridden too close to the minimun DIN.  For example, if someone rode a P18 at 8 (which in itself would be pretty uneccessary) would the binding do more harm than good?

There was a discussion on this in a fks thread a few weeks ago. The overall conclusion was that it should not have a negative impact on the binding. From my own experience (a season so far at 10) the binding has performed perfectly and has never had any issues at that din.

I'm 5'6, 150, and had the same initial fears that you are expressing. However, after one day on them I was stoked. I personally will not go back to another type of binding for powder, BC, riding. As long as you realize the need to run these bindings at a reasonable din to preserve your body you'll be fine.

On a side note, I run these on JJ's also; check out my review if you're interested in  thoughts on the combo.

Before the current gen. toe...it was designed by GEZE.
I grabbed them up cause I like safey...so I might hang on to them, but I figured I'd throw it out there to help this cat out.
