they are noodles, from salomon the dumont, foil, and gun are better at all mountain.. it kind of depends on your size though, if you weight 80 pounds you may find them stiff, but compared to other adult skis there one of the softest pairs out there
i have last years thrusters and this years thrusters, and i live in michigan. The thrusters are super fun to ride around corduroy and definately can kill the park. It will be a little tricky skiing pow with them tho because they are pretty skinny. If you want salomons all mountain ski then you should get the foil, but if your gonna ride alot of park and groomers the thrusters are sick.
^^yes, my thrusters are this years. This is my first year riding them and I like them more than armadas which I have ridden for the last 4 years. I did however just blow an edge after riding them for about a month, so I don't know if this is just a defect in my pair or if they have durability issues.
What armada ski were you on that were softer then the thruster? cause compared to almost anything its really really soft, and I am not a big guy, 150 pounds 5"10, and they were flopping all over the place even at low speeds, now I understand it is a park ski and isn't built for all mountain performance so nothing against the ski, its a lot of fun for jibbing, but for all mountain performance there are much better choices out there
^I never said they were stiffer than armadas. I just said I like them better. I have skied them in conditions varying from solid ice to a foot of pow this year and they seem to handle pretty well. I'm not saying they are the best all mountain ski out there, but they handle everything well for a park ski.
