Global warming is melting away my lifstyle

As a lot of us can tell the time from when the snow falls to when we take our last run down the park or last few turns through some spring corn is becoming shorter and shorter. Once again here we are in early November and its looking depressingly brown. Personally I blame our government and their lack of action in any department to even look like they give a dam, but what do you all think about this crushing problem of global warming?

It's cold enough, barometric pressure is pushing storms away. This is natural, and has nothing to do with the anthropogenic global warming alarmist brainwashing religion that has taken it's toll on you.

You're dumb. Global warming is not causing it not to snow in november. We had 3 feet of snow in early october here in utah. Its all about weather patterns, not global warming. People keep thinking that global warming is making changes in the short term, its a long term effect.

shit people are so dumb, global warming has nothing to do with it not snowing,  you cant blame clouds not building up over colorado at the moment on global warming. thats weather patterns.  honestly i havent seen any affect at all from global warming since all this bullshit started,  i just remember a couple great cold winters with plenty of snow and a couple record snowfalls.  every time there is a shitty weather pattern where its warmer than normal for a couple weeks people flip out and blame global warming.
im not saying global warming doesnt exist, it does, its just not having any effect at all.
shit even in al gores terrible movie, almost every example of global warming was stretching the truth so much they were all pretty much lies. 
until i stop hearing all this bullshit and lies from people and start hearing some actual truth im gonna keep driving my big suv and wasting gas cause i dont give a shit.

If you guys take a little look at how much it used to snow and when here in the north west 50 years compared to now you might be a little more obliged to believe that things are changing in the mountains. Even if the snow fall isn't being affected by global warming, look in the mountains around the world and tell me nothing is happening oh smart ones. the glaciers once covering Kilimanjaro are almost entirely receded to the inner crater of the peak. In the Alps and chamonix, huge pieces of the mountains are falling off because the ice holding them together is melting. Even here in Glacier Park, look and at pictures from the fifties and then go check out how it looks now and tell me something isn't going down

Not to be rude man, but you are fighting a battle that isn't even worth it. There are hundreds of threads on global warming on this site, and they are all filled with a bunch of stupid, misinformed information, repeated by kids yelling "Im right, cocksucker!". 

I wouldn't waste my time posting in this thread anymore, i would go and explore what other great things NS has to offer.

Oh no!  Humans have yet again collectively failed to look at the bigger picture and understand that the Earth works on a geological time scale, in which a human lifetime is about a half a second.  Yes, the industrial revolution and everything that it produced hasn't helped anything, but you know what?  Climates do change.  Over half the globe has been covered in glaciers, many times.  The oceans have been 300+ feet higher than they are now, and 300+ fee lower, too.  The Saharan desert was once a huge, lush forest.   We don't understand our Earth as well as we think we do.

Yes, it sucks that winter is getting shorter and summers are getting hotter and it doesn't rain/snow enough in some places anymore.  However, there is little we can do about it.  All reasonable projections have pretty much shown we are no longer able to 'reverse the effects' of global warming.  Hell, no one can ever be certain that humans are solely responsible; especially since it's highly unlikely.

We need to do the best we can with what we have.  We should try and curb emissions and find alt. energy sources.  But people need to stop kidding themselves that there is someone who is responsible, that there is a magic cure that will reverse this process and take things back the way it used to be. 

Oh yeah, you blame the government?  You are an idiot.

I think that cuts to the core of your argument best right there. We dont understand it, so we must not have anything to do with it. I dunno, I think when you're messing with something as important as the Earth, its a bit better to be conservative and tread lightly on its natural processes.

surprisingly we got like an inch of snow yesterday on thanksgiving, which is normal.  so far its all good but temperatures are supposed to rise into the 40's next week.

exactly ben.  why is everyone blaming the goverment for everything that goes wrong? is the goverment causing global warming or YOUR HUmmer. isit the goverments problem that our economy is slumping or YOUR WELFARE. is it the REPUBLICANS who are Causing this or do YOU wnat TO BLAME SOME ONE becasue face it, if your complaining about the situation now, you are not working on trying to fix the problem. Its true. But its actually worse than he makes it sound. It's not depressingly brown here, it's depressingly GREEN and this is NEWFOUNDLAND. when the ski hill here opened like 20-30 years ago or something, they were opening in the first week of december, or late November. The opening date has been getting farther and fartehr back since then.They ahve all the dates on their website, www.skimarble.com. This year opening day is scheduled for after Xmas.
