So I never really ski alone, but I was thinking about doing it this weekend. I can see it being really nice, just crank up some music and be able to ski at your own pace.
So do you ever ski alone, and do you enjoy it?
Also, it seems like kids in the park are never really that friendly, at least from my experiences, but I think it would be cool if you could just meet people and give each other pointers and help, with no hostility or stuff like that, especially if you are skiing alone.
I used to snowboard alone all the time and it was fun when you have your ipod on, just cruisin through the park and not waiting for anyone. You get up and down a bunch more times, really helps you get all your tricks down and its fun to make up a line and try to get everything perfect.
I'd say it depends on what your trying to do or what your mindset is. Skiing with people is preferable, but sometimes its good to ski by yourself and your ipod, especially if your really trying to get shit done, like a specific trick or two. On the other hand, friends push progression. But sometimes theyre not into sessioning the feature your rockin...
For causal skiing, its always better with friends. But then again skiing alone is better than not skiing at all!
skiing alone is dope. sure you cant do it all the time, but with the right tunes and motivation, you end up getting shit done. its also kinda peaceful on like a powder day or after a shitty day in school. Also, its pretty fun to meet random people on the chairlift and yo never know, you may find someone new to ski with.
i ski alone about 25% of the time. its really good, gets kinda boring sometimes, i ski way harder though and get exhausted....my firneds suck and ski fucking slow. like a pack of teenage girls they just talk about shit the whole time...i wanna fucking ski and ski hard and do crazy shit........i also do most of my exploring alone, whihc is probally a bad idea.Â
yes i am quite aware of my wonderful typing skillz. J-WHAT!
I like it when I just wanna practice. If I dont hit a rail right Ill just hike back up and do it again. I dont have to hear any complaints from anyone

I had a dream last night that I was friends with Ellen Degeneras. I talked to her when she was jogging by and we were standing in snow... I had no skis on... I was walking. Then some lady stopped in her car, took a picture then drove off. God help me.- Skiierman
I ski alone most of the time. Sure it's better to ride with friends in the park and such but if I'm not riding groomers I prefer to crank up the ipod and ride solo. Plus you get to meet some cool poeple on the chair
"maybe we should give the hurricanes black names. that way they are lazy and dont bother fucking anything up.
or give them mexican names so they hang around parking lots and then instead of fucking everyone up, they build decks and houses." -Timmi
once i was skiing at snowmass with some buddies and we got on the chair with a retarted guy, and he was really nice and all, and we took a run with him, then on the chair the second time up he was like everybody always ditches me and then i ski really fast down the hill and hit a tree cause i feel so bad. so we spent like 4 hours taking runs with him. i mean it ruined our plans to get over to the park, but i think we made that guys day so whatever.
I love skiing alone. Sometimes i'll go up on a Wednesday morning (skip school) and have the place to myself pretty much. It's great becasue you can listen to music as loud as you want and just think about stuff or meet people on the lift.
ya i ski alone a lot because at lot of my friends are not as hardcore as I am, and I'm not going to sit home on a blue-bird day. It's nice to just go where ever and listen to music, like the other kids were saying.
i like skiing by myself..sometimes. whenever my uncle and my dad drag me along skiing i usually just ski by myself. just crank the tunes and it's pretty awesome.
no chair wait, just go singles, can be super fast at times.
can go as slow or as fast as you want in the trees, on the groomers i actually quite enjoy it.
Tanner is not an asshole like everyone thinks he is, if you've actually met him he's super chill (probably because he's as baked as a homemade apple pie) - EL_FINRE
i ski alone alot. i like it. it's quiet and i like to hear the snow under my skis.
"Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo ass like Leroy on a crotch rocket! Bitch be a category fo'! So grab yo' chirren, yo' Ho, be leavin yo crib, and head fo' da nearest guv'ment office fo yo FREE shit!"
skiing alone isnt bad..i did it last year, just once, but it was fun, much funner w/ friends but you ski what you want. i just cranked my tunes and sharlped things at the mountain i dont do often cuz the lift ride is long. park isnt too bad either, i just flowed through hit to hit. it was good not having to wait and see what better tricks my friends did haha.. but all in all it was okay.
and secondly, this is my signature bitch!!

i love it man. i just moved to a new mountain this past year and for the first few weekends i skiedmostly alone. i knew one kid there but he wasnt there for alot of the beginning of the season (went to mts with more snow) but i ended up meeting all the people there and were all good friends now.
but i usually go there alone, and end up finding somebody to ski with almost every time (well, ever time, unless i want to ski alone). its sick, i bring my tunes and just go ski.

its really great man, especially if your stressed about something, i just remember last year at the beginning of the season i got completely fucked over again and again by this girl i reallllllly liked for a few months, so finally one day she pulled the last string and i said fuck it told her off, and got in my car, smoked a couple bowls on the way to the slopes cranked up my ipod and just ran laps through the park by myself for a couple hours and it was the best day ever, park was groomed just right and i just had a lot of self realizations, plus you dont have to wait for your friends and shit so you get a lot more skiing in.

i basically skied alone for my first few weeks at what is now my home mountain. it is nice at first w/ just tunes, but it gets really boring and at the time i didnt know anyone, so there was no one i could know where to find/chill with
i'm in the same boat my buddy is goin to be a ski instructor up and pc so won't be able to ski with him on the week days that i don't go up there so i'll go to beaver local resort and listen to the pod... unless my other homies come with me
