Skiing on acid

yo im gonna be in north lake (tahoe) for two weeks jus kickin it in truckee skiing everyday in january and am planning on dropping acid and skiing if it is a good idea.  so i used the search bar and there were tons of replys from a thread 2 years ago saying "bad idea blah blah"- most likely from people who have never tripped before so id like to hear some real advice from people who've tripped and also whove tripped skiing.  so if youve never even touched psychedelics dont bother posting you squares.  lemme know. peace

Ive done acid 3 times and i would say that all three times skiing would be out of the question.  If you were really deteremined to do it im sure you could pull it off.  Its all about mind set when your tripping.  If you want to do something badly enough when your tripping you can pull it off.  But i would def. suggest staying away from larger jumps and bigger rails.  And cliffs.  Def avoid cliffs. 

But if you do it have someone sober with you to watch out for your well being.  You can not fuck around with acid.

You don't need acid to have a good time skiing. Honestly, save it for when you have nothing better to do. It'd probably be a complete waste of a perfectly good day skiing.

do it, when i did acid and skateboarded i could land everything i tried, i pretty much went through every step of landing the trick in my head perfectly and it was just crazy.

For your first time, i would not recommend skiing on acid.  I've done it twice, and i certainly could not have pulled off skiing, but at a lower dose its do-able.  Do acid before you ski on acid though.

as for your situation, idk how you can even do it. im no "lightweight" or anything and i can't even ski after smoking a blunt. although it was awesome. on this cliff that was about 30 ft. my buddy and i toked up then dropped in, landing in waist deep pow with no landing, ejected from my skis into a tree. good times....

i assume that it would be a very different experience, doing any hallucinogens will obviously change the way you look at everything, and since everything around you and the feeling you get from skiing is awsome, im sure it would be unique.  but on the other hand i would rather be on a porch with an epic view and take deeper thought by just whats in front of you.

i have done it my fare share, and i would say that you would be fine doing it, because your muscles and body doesn't get affected as much as you vision, i longboarded down a narly hill, so i would say its good, but i wouldnt try it myself

I've only dropped acid once so I'm not an expert but I would definitely try it out if I were you. Try to go on a nice bluebird day with a few homies but don't try anything crazy in the park because if you get hurt your prolly gonna get sent to bad vibe city.

but I guess while this thread is here, I did acid for the first time a week ago and went skateboarding and it was the shit. Stoked to go skiing on acid this winter

Oh man I was surprised to see this thread on the front page.

Skiing on L is wonderful, you just have to have enough sense to take it easy. Jumps are a little weird. I've mixed the two a couple times, I really miss it.

so many people who have obviously never done it, yet so eager to preach. L requires something to do, if your like anyone else on this site and skiing has become second nature i think L would be an amazing time on the hill. I would just do 1 hit and play it out from there... also maybe wear a helmet to protect you, and make you feel safer. Its the little things man, the little things

I skied on L and it was fun as hell I brought my friend and we randomly took it in the parking lot and it was his first time. Skied glades all day and partied in the parking lot at lunch time before finishing out the day. So fun and we have both been stoked to do it again.

I think it could be fun if you had a buddy with you and didn't have to deal with a whole bunch of people. Just took a hit so its not too crazy but I think it could be a great time if you were a good skier.

I did it with three friends and ended up just laying on top of a 50 footer all day so skiiers would fly over us, super super fun, but we barely skied, also couldn't convince my self to eat a single thing all day.

personally, I would try it. I wouldn't dose too hard, but just enough to feel the trippyness and have a magical day skiing ahah tbh i had a dream last night about tripping and thought about hitting the slopes.

but yeah, dont dose too hard, if its not enough, take a little more. No harm done. People always go on adventures tripping, and if youre a good skiier i wouldnt worry too much if you know how to handle yourself on acid.

I know people who passed their driving exam while tripping.

ended up doing it this weekend at okemo... was totally awesome until i got way too analytical, and introspective lol. then my boy busted his ass off a jump and had a full out yard sale which made me cry laughing and brought the good vibes back. id recommend it if you've done L before

I would say it depends on the strength, if its like 150 mics go for it but if its that god tier 300 mics+ sit you on your ass and put you on par with a goldfish then just do half. In all seriousness if you have tripped a lot and its a comfortable does then try it out, would probably be fun. Nothing looks better than a bunch of swaying trees on acid. Take supplies so if you have a shit the bed moment you can just sit down, have a drink and something to eat. If your still a little worried you could take a trip sitter if you have one, just to make sure you don't have any silly ideas....

If you've never done acid, don't respond to this thread. No one cares what you think. You aren't adding to the conversation, and you aren't helping the OP out at all in his original question.

I've never skied on acid, but have some friends that have. Every single one says it was amazing.
