Saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Classic Wes Anderson- lots of color and visually interesting shots, somewhat disturbed characters with family issues, great obscure sound track. Anyone else see it yet?
does anyone know the name of the movie that has a trailer in the previews before the darjeeling limiteD? it has that song our house by crosby stills nash in it and its like a bunch of long haired teenagers in a car
I met Wes Anderson at the LA premiere, and it was really cool. I'd always expected him to be kinda pretentious and artsy, but he was just a really normal, funny, nice guy.
I saw it just the other night, it was awesome. Hotel Chavelier and and the main feature. Great shots, great story, plot development, soundtrack, characters, freaking everything. Definately pending as my favorite Wes Anderson film.
it was great, but not my favourite of his movies. I found the brothers were kinda similar to one another, as compared to the royal tennenbaums who were outrageously eccentric and so a little more entertaining. i remember thinking at one point 'alright ive had enough of this train already, theyve got to move this story somewhere else and have something more fast paced happen' and immediately they got off and had that encounter with the boys in the river. the spontaneity and randomness of that encounter was a great relief from the pensive neuroticism of the characters, exactly what i was looking for at that point.
