My friend was out for his first day riding his new twins and he broke his shoulder, out for the rest of the season and couldn't play basketball either. Plus anotehr guy I know busted his ankle when he caught his foot between two rails rollerblading.  he has like a plate and a bunch of screws in tehre now and isn't supposed to hit jumps anymore.

I sliced through my knee all the way to the knee cap with my ski in a half pipe....it cut through the tendon and the docs told me i wouldnt ski for 3 years...they are idiots, i was back the next season....ive also had numerous concussion while wearing a helmet (ive cracked 4)

handrail on a 8 stair, hit a notch, fell knee first right into the stair, stood up to catch my breath with my hands on my knees and felt a HUGE hole where there shouldnt be one! pulled my pants up and yeah, there was my knee cap! long story short, 50 stiches inside my knee, 25 on the outside. then i was playing ultimate frisbee like a month later after my doctor cleared me and broke it open again, getting 50 more stiches with minimal novicain, HOLY SHIT OW.

something similar with. injury has nothing to do with skiing. i severed the tendons on my middle finger. 12 weeks of chillin. no windells that i had already signed up for. no refund cause i had already sent my papers in. worst part is the day after i sent my papers in was the day that the injury happened.

i got a broken collarbone too and sleeping did suck. it got so bad i snorted a couple of lortabs so i could go to sleep.

severed off the part of the bottom half of my femur where it meets the tib/fib.  HIt a rock underneath the snow and tumbled and hit my knee on a rock

I broke my pelvis last year in the halfpipe,
I have had some concussions over the years, but only one really bad one, the doctors thought I had a brain bleeding or whatever that is called in english... But I didn't, I just have a really poor short time memory now, haha!

i wrapped around, lterally back wards, a 4 by 4 solid wood pole like 16 ft high going backwards realy fast and bent it but didnt get hurt some how

I broke my leg second day out last year, resulting in 6 weeks of recovery, and a surgury 3 weeks ago, that puts me on crutches for 8 weeks, and not skiing untill december.

Broke my humerous (upper arm, JUST below the shoulder) in 7th grade. Couldn't get a cast, and had to wear this cute little immobilizer...

Few years ago I biffed a takeoff, and landed off-axis on my side, and my ski-pole grip went into my rib. Didn't go to a doctor about it, but I couldn't breath without pain for a few weeks, and was impeded physically for a few months before I was 100%.

this past spring I dislocated my shoulder. Still can't throw a football without pain. Likely some rotator cuff damage from it, and it popped out once on its own while swimming at the beach. Both times it popped out and went right back in on its own.

fell really far (50+ feet) to flat after overshooting a stepdown... broke two vertebra (cracked my T8 and crushed my T11) and broke my rib to the immediate right of my T11.  i'd say that sucked a bunch, but i was lucky enough to not suffer any nerve damage.

i have been really lucky. Only thing i did was seperate the growth plate in my hip. Now my legs are different lengths.

broke my nose when i took a t-bar under full spring load off my face

or

when i gave myself internal bleeding from my kidneys when i crashed and took an ice chunk in my side - this one was probably worse cause i wasn't allowed to ski for 3-4 weeks.
