AH! that's a real shame, he's been great and around for so long. and i agree, i'm glad he was the one to decline and that he didn't get fired, that would've been super lame.

I dont blame the guy they only offered him a one year contract....it was a public perspective move...it would have put Torre under the same pressure to take them to the World Series next year and if he didn't  Streinbrenner would have gave him the axe.  Great coach in my opinion....hes not done....hope he goes somewhere where he gets the respect he and any coach for that matter deserves

yeah mattingly or girardi..but they're going to do an extensive search i guess.

wonder what arod, jeter and rivera are going to do now.

yanks already said today they wouldnt go after arod if he opted out and became a free agent
