i strap into my skis and stuff and stand on the tredmill on a skateboard almost weekly just to get the feeling of moving down the hill on my skis(but it's kinda painful when you fall off the skateboard cause you fly back and there is no way to stop it because of the skis)
I also tried to build a water ramp into the lake with somefriends but that didn't go so well iether (i need snow!!!)
-skier 4 life-
I try not to base my life around skiing, but I do miss it, putting on my new goggles feels good from time to time. We might get some carpet and put soap on it on a jump so we can hit our rail we just made.

who cares, to the kids who wears his gloves, get a fucking life, seriously, skiing is great, but it's summer, get over it and do something else, and when the winter comes...great but fuck live you life now and don't worry about it
First off, does that really work, taping the edges and jumping on the trampoline? I'm dumb enough to try that. Anywho, if you hate not skiing in the summer, learn how to skateboard. It's tons of fun, you can do it anywhere, after the initial purchase it costs almost nothing, and can provide that fix for danger, speed, learning new things, pain, whatever else you get from skiing. Not so much the powder or the trees, but you can work with it.
i really want to go skiing, but i try not to let it become an obsession (at least not over the summer). i learn a ton of new tricks on our town's water tramp and on my tramp and go biking and swimming. basically just to take my mind off of skiing. if it gets cold though i do wear my Siver beanie
ill sit around sometimes and look at old ski mags and watch skiporn in summer. and itws a totally sweet feeling to put on goggles and shit sittin around. gets me back in a good mood, like a total positive brain connection.
a couple days ago i put my goggles, a hat, some gloves, and snowpants on and started jumping on my trampoline i landed like two tricks after i started to hyperventilate.. i try not to think about it but its like women u just get sudden urges for them... but 2 different feelings there just to clear everything up!
I LOVE SKIING, some peopole on this thread have it right, skiing is a lifestyle, it is your life (at least it is for me) i try and do stuff for the summer, like mountain bike and swim and rock climb, but none of those come close to compairing with the awsomeness of skiing.
I work at a ski shop, so I get my fix that way when I can't ski.
As for the summer, take up waterskiing or wakeboarding! It provides the same kind of rush, expecially wakeboarding; learing all the tricks and spins. In some cases I think it's harder than skiing. This past summer I learned how to do a flip on my wakeboard.
Granted, I know you need a boat and a lake to do that, but there are waterski/wakeboard clubs I'm sure you can find.
you know what needs to happen, someone needs to make a terrain park resort for the summer out of that stuff that they use in england, i know its not the same as snow, but it would got us our fix on skiing.
i do the exact same things, either put all my gear on and walk around, or just stare at my skis and ski mags. if you have an old pair of skis, you can attach wheels to them. put 2 bars in the front, one in the back and attach wheels from a razor scooter. an easyer and much safer way is to but those skis withe the wheels in them. check your ski mags for them. and ad is usually in the back.
try 2 servive summer guys. winter is almost here.
