I ordered some new skis online and I got them in the mail today, and they came with the bindings already mounted. The bindings are '07 Rossi Scratch 140s, but the shop that mounted them forgot to put in the shock absorber pads under the heel and toe pieces. Is this a big deal, or do those shock absorber pads even matter all that much? Has anyone on here tried using these bindings without the pads?
And before you flame me for buying online and getting screwed instead of buying locally at a shop, you should know that I live on the coast 100 miles north of Los Angeles, so although there are surf shops everywhere, there is only 1 ski shop within about 50 miles of me, and it's a crappy shop. So yeah, I bought my skis online, cuz it was really my only option.
