Colapsable drop in?
Does anyone know if there is a way to build a colapsable drop in for urbans?
yes look through the old threads in here. There are a couple talking about it.
you could just go off the seet of your pants..and just put hinges and places to attch screws
You must feel like a real alstar
Well aren't you just the coolest!
Just think of a ladder and then make it wider and not as steep.
and then to lock it put wood/metal parts that come down and hold it
ya dude.. put some hinges in the middle like a ladder and it would be liget..my friend wants to make one out of a ladder..
and secondly, this is my signature bitch!!

It's actually really easy if you think about it... all you need are 1 hinge about halfway down each of the vertical supports (so they can fold), and two hinges on the ramp (one up top, and one halfway down), so that it can fold up as well. Then just put a couple 2x4s on each section that you can 'swing' into place so as to support the hinged points.
if you don't understand, just ask me i'll elaborate.

im gonna do that next week.
i have one thats like 2.5 - 3 feet tall, and the ramp just comes off, it doesnt actually have to be connected, jut a fairly large portion has to be attached.
just to throw it out there...
I am almost finished with my drop in ramp, with mine you can adjust the height of the ramp and the ramp, platform and ladder up to the platform are all connected with carriage bolts so they detach for easy transportation. i will post some pics of it in the next few days.
if you wanted a big drop in you could also use scaffolding
