Anti Kyoto organization???

since kyotos around i think i will make an organization to try and stop earth quakes from happening. it should work just fine

WHat?!? thats absurd, that makes no sense that he and his excuse for an organization are doing that. The kyoto accord is somethign good that the staes should have signed to but obviosly not.

And if anybody has not seen an inconvienient truth you shoudl see it, although a little depressing it will teach you alot abotu golbal warming and where its leading too

Problem is, the Kyoto protocol is unfair to much of the developed world with prospering economies. The agreement puts limits on the total amount of greenhouse emissions each signed country is allowed to produce every year (usually limited to the levels produced in 1990). This part of the accord is good.

The bad part is that most of the countries that signed the Kyoto protocol have economies which have tanked since 1990. Many of the former Soviet Union and Communist Bloc countries didn't even exist in 1990. Since their economies have tanked, they are well below the 1990 emission levels. This allows these countries to sell emission “credits” to countries who never had a chance of meeting their Kyoto requirements, despite the fact that the countries selling the credits have practically non-existent environmental protection laws. And emission credits cost a LOT of money.

For instance, Canada, which joined Kyoto in 2002, will have to cut greenhouse emissions by 34% from 2008-2010. It is estimated that by 2010, the Kyoto Accord will cost Canada 40 billion dollars and 450,000 jobs. Incidentally, the Canadian government is trying to get out of Kyoto and rather join the Asia-Pacific Partnership.

It would cost the US a lot more money and jobs than Canada to join Kyoto. That's why the US and Australia refused to sign it, and are supporting the Asia-Pacific Partnership instead.

Well even so I really doubt the public would vote for an anti-kyoto organization.

and also the Canadian system is different than the American.

I really don't think this would fly in Canada. Especially since Harper is under a minority government.

If he went through with that Jack Layton would be on his ass like none other.

i didnt vote for him because i have never voted but alot of the peace loving hippies voted for him because he said hed get the troops out of veitnam and then he goes and puts more troops in there

I think there would be or atleast some sort other party consent with the minority government in place.

But I'm not sure on that.
