i got bad shin bang this year and i couldnt ski well the rest of the year.
my shins seem to be really sensitive. for example, my cousin got mad cuz i was cheating at video games, and he threw the controller at my shin. and i realllllly hurt. when i was getting out of the pool, i hit my shin against the steps, and it hurt.
and idk how long this is gonna last, is everyones shins sensitive?

I get shinbang so bad I can't sleep without painkillers, and yes if I even tap my shin it hurts like hell. Im really worried about mine because I got a huge comp this week and they're so swollen and not getting better, plus I fell over 3 times yesterday because they hurt so bad they can't even support me.

^ Yeah, I think it's called your SHIN BONE lol. Also it gets realllllly lumpy. I dunno if you guys have this over there, but rubbing in Tiger Balm helps a lot. Its like deep heating mint cream

UFC fighters run rolling pins down their shins so they can kick with them, it kills the nerves

wtf. your fucked up.
not sure about cures, but enough rest does the trick. at the end of everyday im pretty sore from landing backseat a few times, and also having boots that somewhat fit me. tiny bumps that i go over at the end of the day kill my shins, but they are usually good by the next weekend

yea same with me.
my shins hurt by the end of the day and then for a couple of days afterwards but then its all sweet.
just take it real easy!!!
that tiger balm helps as well

for shinsplints when you get home from skiing put ice on your shins or a bag of peas/frozen food on the areas it hurts for at least a half hour, the longer then better. and they when you go to go skiing again take a tylenol or some ibuprofen and your shins will be fine all day. just repeat this everytime you go skiing. works like a charm for me.

if you are getting shinbang from skiing you either A ski in the backseat to much or B dont have proper fitting boots. the best thing you can do is ice and lots and lots of advil

i think he means by the general popualtion fits SPK boots decently well. not everyone with spks should be fitted for them, its what they like and what they think will help them so they get them anyways even though they might not fit perfectly.

wait so if you have bumps on your shins those are shin splints?
i got really bad boot bang from my langes when i raced but now i've got soft (well not soft but really soft compared to when i raced) boots and my shins don't hurt as badly.
icing and advil tends to work.

I've had my fair share of shin splints. They go away.
But heel spurs are WAY worse. I have those as well from golfing.

Mine are reaaaaly soft from biking so much and shinning myself. The combination of shin bang and shinning myself makes them so soft

yes, I had them for the last two years. They definitely help alot. My shins still kill, but I've never met anyone with worse shins than mine. I would definitely pick up a pair. I think that they will make a huge difference for most people with semi-normal shins.
