In health class, my teacher spent like a 1/2 an hour trying to figure out how much money you could save after four years of not smoking ciggaretes. And when she finally finished, she asked the class what you could buy with this much money. And I said "A shitload of ciggaretes!"

you gotta have the right mind set.  Stepping down how many cigs a day you smoke never seems to work in the long run.  Cold turkey that.  For the first few days try to avoid going into gas stations or hanging out with people who smoke.  Leave all your money at home so you cant buy any.  It sucks but after a week or two you feel so much better and thats enough incentive to stop for me. (i only smoked for a few weeks and not even that often only at work so it might be different for a pack a day smoker)

Exactly. You have to WANT to quit for real. Not just the idea of quitting. DO NOT buy any. I was a smoker for years. And I really wanted to stop. It's been over a month. Yay!

i quit, well kinda. Ill have one when im drunk if i get offered one but other than that, i dont see the point in smoking 1 every hour, i just like the buzz i get from one and it feels like they get you drunker personaly. I didnt really have a problem stopping at all once i started realizing how out of breath they make me when im running or something.

no you're not, you're posting on ns.  Unless you have 2 hands to type and 1 hand to light the pipe (if that's what your smoking) and one hand to hold the pipe.  Or do you love ns so much that you just sit and post and have you friends hold up the pipe to yo mouf and light it for you too.  Or are you just in a hotboxed room so whenever you breathe you inhale weed smoke.

Yeah I tried quitting cold turkey and it worked for about 12 days and I couldnt do it anymore...just made me an angry person.

if its really important to you, just go skiing in alaska or something for like a month, and dont smoke at all, just ski...itll be awesome!
