don't expect that much snow. they only get like 350 inches around here, and it doesn't usually come in bunches (and vails stats include the man-made snow, haha). go to salt lake or seattle/bellingham if you want lots of snow.

yeah, if you want to stick to park go to CMC breck, though gunni is a good option for actual skiing cause of CB and is only a couple hours from summit county.

i said cheaper.
vail cheap? breck cheap?
hahahahaha. i would LOVE that, but i can't.
i have florida prepaid college and it only covers how much a florida university would cost for florida in-state tuition. i think i've calculated it out to be about 14-18 grand.
thanks guys.
i'm actually thinking about leadville or steamboat since my dorm is already paid for.

seriously check out belingham comunity college, you'll be 40 minutes from baker, and will have more snow than you can dream of.

just make sure you realize CMC is basically a community college, and when i was looking into it, most of the credits for classes i would've taken wouldnt even transfer. I think you'd be much happier in Gunnison next to CB, and it will cost you about the same.

the credits have to transfer since it is a community college.
and plus i'm poor and paying out of pocket is a pain along with student loans. and it won't be for long. it will prob take a semester or two. maybe.

have you tried working? it's doable to get by without getting loans, but you have to have a decent job during the year and work your ass off in the summer.

seriously get loans and go to school, if you want too, yeah money sucks, but everyone has to deal w/ it and has to pay back loans.

Whoever thinks breck is park skiing only has not really experienced the mountain. Breck has some of the most badass terrain in summit county. Name another mountain with steeps like lake shoots and peak nine, everlasting powder like windows, and a huge ass cornice in billy's. Oh, and it has a nice park, too.

She said she wants a place with dorms... only 3 of the CMC campus's have dorms... go to CMC STEAMBOAT, dorms are like 10 min from the mtn if even. lots of snow, not the sickest park, but sooo badass and fun cause its so much more chill than summit county. Also summit is only 1hr 30min to drive to without the I70 traffic...
hands down if you want a college to bascially ski at and get an associates.... EXTREMEBOAT!

CMC Steamboat has the best dorm program, and it is really easy to get a job on the mountain through the school, just part time, gets you a ski pass and many local discounts. Plus, Steamboat just got bought by Intrawest, so you get discounted shit at Copper, Winter Park, Whistler, and the other 15 resorts that Intrawest owns.
I would go with CMC Steamboat if you want to live in a mountain town and you have $10-$14G for school already.
Good Luck
