I just bought a vx2100

I have a dell laptop, it's got a 1gb of ram, and a good video card, and an 80gb hard drive. I'm thiking for getting the best quality out of my camera, i should upgrade. What do you guys think?

seems like you should be able to edit ok, you'll just need an external hard drive for footage.

you're computer has nothing to do with the quality of your video... That computer will work fine but you definitely need a large external.

you need an external harddrive cuz i guarantee at top wuality exporting off a tape will be like 1.86 megabites a second of footage

yea i have the same cam.  i didnt even put footy on my comp and i kno i need an external.  thats why i got one!

With my gl2, the majority of the clips are anywhere from .1 gb to a gb or more. So Hard Drive is nesacary, and get a good edit program, like premier..
