not much plastic in the Dynafits, and they are the stiffest of the bunch (with the dukes) but they aren't good for dropping anything.
Dynafits are sweet for a light step up where you wont be doing much dropping. They tour by far the best, are the lowest to the ski, and are the lightest.
But most kids are looking for that...
I've owned Nx21s and Freerides. I will own Dukes or something like it soon (touring s916 would be amazing).
Anyway, Nx21 blows the Freeride out of the water, IMO. Others will say the opposite. Soo much less slop while skiing, lockdown (I had insta-tele issues with my FR), higher din, and I like the touring stride more.
The duke will crush everything though. After holding them, I was pretty impressed. Still a lot of plastic, but super beefy.
If you want to get the best binding for actually skiing, get the duke, than the Nx21, than the FR +, than either the original FR or Nx01.
I'd kill a snitch.....not saying I have...not saying I haven't.....
