The work itself is often less challenging than in-class. Marking is usually easier, but it totally depends on your tutor. Testing can differ also. I've had timed online testing, as well as non-timed online testing (these are great). Most courses have a final exam that you have to make an appointment to write at the school. Final exams for online coures can be worth more marks than for in-class.
I've usually found that work load is more than in class, but like I said the work itself is easier, there's just more of it.
I personally try to avoid online courses as much as I can. You really have to have great initiative to gain something out of the class.

'If you cut us do we not bleed. If you tickle us do we not laugh. If you poison us do we not die. If you wrong us do we not revenge.' - I have no idea, but it's quoted in the Pianist
Nah go to Uni and do your course I reckon, well at least a bit of it. you got to experience Uni life while you can. Of course if you can only go to Uni by doing it online (eg your a professional bike racer) then do it.
that would be cool, im gonna take online courses, all in while i create a fake identity and be a ski-bum and a psychiatrist all at the same time, mind you.

Well the thing is I live in Kentucky (just for this summer paretns moved out here) and have been going to a college in west virginia for two years everytime 2nd semester rolls around i quit school and live at a local ski resort. Anyway Im moving out to Utah sometime in the next week or two and I was trying to attended U of U since I could goto college for the full year since theres plenty of resorts around to keep my mind of school. But my transfer G.P.A wasnt high enough cuz i fucked up ONE class freshman year. So I'm gonna move out there and take Online Classes from a school back home (in state tution) then next year when my G.p.a Is high enough start going to U of U (in State tution since ive been living there while taking online courses) And ohh yeah ski all fucking day and do school at night I think I beat the system boys
