I know Bush isn't a dictator, I was pointing out how ridiculous the claim that he was is, by pointing out how no matter what, he'll be out of power eventually, and replaced by a voted-in leader

My bad on that...a lot of people ACTUALLY use the word dictator as a serious name attatchement for Bush.

yea, I know, its nuts, people at my school call him a dictator, so i always have to point out that it was the people who voted him into power, and the same people who could have voted him out of power. Some people just don't get it

many of the pictures are moving, and some are very reknowned, but i think whoever gathered those pictures and classified them as "pictures that changed the world" is a bit extreme. It's akin to something USA today did about a month ago about the 20 most moving people in the past 25 years or something like that, and they were all sob stories, most of which were not all that impactful, but garnered a lot of attention at the time. Some of thos pictures are relevant, and while many may be moving or powerful, they, at least to me, don't really seem to apply well.

Not at all actually...the whole point is that those images gave new insight and perspective to events that would of gone relatively unnoticed WITHOUT the images.

i dont think the atom bomb would have gone unoticed.. but yes.. this is true for many of them

when you are that far along in starvation, simply handing the kid a sandwich would do more harm than good. At the point that kid was at, he needed months and months of rehab before he would have been alright. The photographer really couldn't do anything

So can't Kamikaze planes filled with explosives be considered WMDs? How about the countless chemical bombs and warfare that Saddam used on his own people and the Kurds in the Gulf War? How about when Hitler used massive amounts of Xyclon B to exterminate 6million jews? How about the fact that terrorists delivered Ricin to a U.S. congressmen, which is a highly contagious, and anthrax, both highly contagious WMDS. The point is, America is hardly the first and last to use WMD's on other countries on civilians, or military. We were at war with an unceding enemy, who attacked us without reason, as we had stated our neutrality already in the war, only breaking it for a while with the Lend Lease Act, supplying Britain with arms. Did the Japanese not torpedo inactive aircraft carriers, killing thousands of soldiers? 

Also, don't throw your opinions into the mix just because you have lived in more than 1 country, which is more than most people on this site can say. The fact that you have seen the rest of the world and still come out of it all with the same fucked up naive opinions as the next jackass says that
A) You obviously weren't paying attention to anything in your travels, and
B) You are incredibly easy to persuade, gullible to the point that you'll believe even the most obsurd opinions and
C) Your just plain dumb.
