I just got this email asking me to verify my identity using my credit card from this phonie paypal scam thingy.
The email looked like this:
Here is what any normal paypal email looks like:
Notice how the senders email adress is different compared to the normal email and the phonie one has fancy formating while the normal one does not.
If you click the link in the email it brings you to this website:

Notice how the adress bar is green singnifying the website is secure in the normal paypal window while the adress bar in the fake one is not. Also none of the links on the bottom of the fake one work and the ones on the top such as My Account, Send Money, Overview, etc. open another window saying access is denied because of your limited status.
This scam was very convincing, and i almost fell for it. They even ask you to sign in so they get your email and password before you even get to the window shown above so i changed my password immediately.
Just a heads up to anyone else who recieves this message.
