K so I lost ONE ski before the season started in pow pow. So after all the snow melted i got my ski. Now i have one ski that was left in the snow ALL year. sitting under snow. and the other ski, was in my garage all year. So is skiing on the pair of skis gonna be weird. like bringing it to camp would be a poor idea this summer? The edges are a little rusted, but what else will effect my riding?

depends, might be rotted/water damaged/water logged. and the edge might be completely rusted out, though i wouldn't know without seeing it.

take it to a shop and just have them examine it for any damage.

not for that long of an extended period of time. They could definatly have some delam and water issues.

fuck that, they are just gonna laugh at you. just try and smash them around a bit and see what happens. Put them on and try doing nose and tail presses and see it it will delam.

I highly doubt they would laugh, especially if the core is rotted where the bindings were mounted, and then they rip out of the ski the first big jump he hits next season.

thats what i'm saying is check it your self. un mount the binding and see if the core is wet or rotten. All a s shop can do is basically the same thing you can do. Visually inspect it, look at the mounting holes and do a binding test. For the binding test you can just put a board in there and pop the binding in both release directions, which is really not hard unless the din is like over 10. Your not going to know if the binding is good, but you will know if the ski is good. Just put them on and see if you can make them fall apart. Use you head, you don't need to a shop to tell you these things.
