99 civic is perfect because civics are the most customizable cars out there and 99 doesnt look as goofy as the new ones. Get a ok cool air intake because you can get an ok to decent one for 100 to 150 and even if you dont do any other work it will make it sound bad ass. if you have the money you should redo the exuast system. uasualy you can get good parts for not that much and it makes it sound a lot better.
red strobe lights. my bro has a pimped car. it has 2 HUGE subs, racing suspension and tires, crome rims, dexals, strobe lights, and a hella nice touch screen dvd player/sound systom. Its pretty much da bomb!
slash pow, ride the park, build kickers, or drop cliffs! its all the best!
Do a K20 swap (screw the B16)and then throw some 18in. Ro_ja formula 7's on it. Add a spoon coilover system and project Mu BBK and then maybe It might be worth a second look. But if you want something cheap debadge it.
alright I got the idea that you wanted some serious mods. Some things you should have in your car as a new driver;
- jumper cables
- first aid kit
Things you should know as a new driver;
- how to change a flat tire
- how to check and change all major fluids in the car (ie oil, washer, power steering)
- how to jump a car
Some things you could do to make the car look a little better
- debadge the car
- wash it often and take good care of the paint
- wax it periodically
- Get good tire
- brake pads (hawk HPS or EBC Greenstuff are two good ones)
personally I would stay away from most of the $30 mods that you can do because usually they are tacky and make your car look worse. Sorry if I came of as a duchebag, I thought the thread was going in a differnet direction
