Whats anyones oppinion on Line skis. I think they suck for anything but park riding. So tell me what you think.

My 1260s worked great all over the mountain. Unless you really suck at skiing the skis arent gonna make much of a difference.

Pulse half the ppl I see skiing on lines suck and just buy them for the looks. Also a friend of mine demoed a pair and couldn't carve for shit one them but that was awhile ago and maybe line redesigned their skis.

I use my mike nick pros and they work just fine... i am a beginner at newschool skiing but i can carve just fine with them , its your choice

lines rock, I rode Line Skogens for half a season, they killed it in the park, rocked the pipe, and skied powder just fine. The wood core makes them really lively, and they carve great, better than my teneightys. They also hold an edge really well on ice. On top of that, they seem strong. Even though everyone gives line a hard time for making weak skis, my friend who owns Skogens hasn't broken his pair yet, and that is after rocking out on a thirty foot cliff, and landing on the noses of the skis, and overshooting, and undershooting rodeo sevens on a 70 foot super kicker. The skis are great.

^he's right, i have had 2 pairs of line skis. they are soft for all mountain, but they are biznasty in the park. I broke two pairs this season, and the first pair were 01's, when i warrantied them i got 02's, and when i warrantied those they just sent me this years skogens, i got them 5 minutes ago.

If I had the choice now from tryin skis out, I would stay away from line, yes I know my screen name is LineBoarder,..... and go with some K2s, armadas, dynastars, etc..

hell I just passed my PSIA level III skiing, and I am gonna be looking into Line's, and Dynastar for next season, personally, I could care less what they carve like, its not like I'm looking for a park/freeskiing ski to do that much carving. The way I look at it, use it for what its designed, and maybe a little more, think about if someone tried to run Downhill skis in a slalom, or ski-boards in nasty back-country - just doesn't work well (but might be fun to try).

my 1260's work perfectly fine...sure they dont 'carve' as nice as a set of atomic race skis, but thats not what i want them for! the work excellent on groomed, in the park, and in pow.

if u want a better carving ski, but still twin tip, try the Head Mad-Trix, thats a stiffer ski

this 911 for peace guy must just be an awesome skier since he skis the awesome mountains of new york. us west coast people skiing super steep lines... on lines, don't know how to ski.

seriously, any ski is good, i ski my 1260s all over the mountain and i don't want anything different... although I do want the 177cm pair instead of 164.

Due I wish I was out of NY because it sucks and I wish my mt didn't suck and to the persone who has there level 3 thats fucking awsome. Personally teaching skiing is kinda pissing me off cause I can't ride, I have to teach some dumbass to snowplow, but its still a free pass.

yes, teaching can suck (and I passed my Level III skiing, not yet Level III, but the skiing is arguably the harder test, and I passed it first time too), but it can also make you a much better skier, too. But I know I have heard of some mountains that do not allow their employees to free ski (they can only ski when teaching) - that sucks. The way I look at it, living in MA, and skiing on (primarily) and teaching on 240 feet of vertical, at least its on snow. There are a lot of people that only make it to the snow 5-10 times a year, and I probably average 100+ days a year on snow (even though most is only on 240 feet), how can I complain. Even though I would love to go west to live and teach and ski all the time, the East Coast kicks ass. Out west there is a totally different scene. A lot of areas are all about money and showboating, and that is not what the sport is, its about going out having fun, skiing hard, and kicking the mountains ass (when you can).

Get good on the East Coast and you'll get the respect you deserve out West (when you make it out there).

yea im thinking im getting the 1260's in a 164. If i dont get line, what would be another ski thats pretty close to that for a reasonable price
