Is a 11 foot flatbar worth making?

I have a 11 foot flat 1 inch steel tube in my back yard i salvaged from a construction site. Im wondering if i should make a faltbar outa it. But is it too short? And how high should i make it off the ground?

Annnnnnnnnnd, for the summer it will be a bitch to make a jump high enough to get onto a rail any higher than a foot. If you make it three foot high, it'll be hard to get enough speed in your yard.

word you can always make another one later on, and 11 feet isnt too bad at all. If you have the stuff why not

1 foot is fine.....even 16 or 18 inches high can become too much in the summer when snow and speed is very limited. you can always set it on 2 x 4's or cinders to raise it if need be in the winter. i once had a buddy that had a rail with extendable legs.......like the little push button things to lift and lower that you would find on weight equipment

i think you would immediately wish it was longer. My buddy has a 30ft flat in his backyard, its perfect length, I definetly would not go below 20 if i was making one.

yeah man thats what i was thinking. 1 fucking inch. thats crazy. it sounds better than my 8 foot pvc pipe. i think i'm goign to get some lexan soon.
