I'm sure someone will get a 1080 eventually. Tony could probibly get it now if he had a steep inrun to a normal 1/4 pipe, but they really have to do it in a comp or in a normal comp.

actually, tony has only thrown about 7 or 8 900's since his first one. i read in a mag somewhere that he didn't really want to try and throw a 1080 cause he,in his words, 'didn't want to kill himself trying a 1080'.

Any of you see that bid of Andy Mac with his huge backyard booter? I think he was pulling 360's over a 60 foot gap or something...unheard of for skateboarders. His inrun was stable, but then he kept adding more and more until it was only a tiny board, and he was like 80 feet up starting. Also, any of you see that guy who dropped into a halfpipe from a helicopter? he ate shit a bunch of times then stuck it and got like, 14 feet out or something like that. lates

i think i saw a pic. of that heli drop to halfpipe in an ad in a skateboard magazine, man, those guys are crazy. i think stunt bike guys are the craziest though, they got a big hunk of metal comming down with them if they fall. Denis Hofman or whatever his name is is insane at vert. i'd never be crazy enough to do that shit.

Yeah those guys are the best, they get about 25ft. out of the pipe all the time and spin 540's with those big bikes.
The record air for BMX is like 35ft. or something like that, Having seen a skier bosting 16ft out of the pipe and having gone 4ft out my self I can't beleve how high 35ft. is.

I saw CR get 25 feet out of a qp and I almost shit my pants, he was like flying into the ski. He hit the qp going mach looney. Oh well...and BMXers are now doing like, 900's and stuff on their bikes. I do think they are the craziest ones also.

Those guy are crazy.....
But I say that Candide D-Spin 900 over chad gap is the sickiest thing ever made by a man hey man that's 120 feet and with a D-Spin 900..... Just landing fakie after this kind of jumps scare me more then jumping off head first from a 50 feet bridge....

I hit the high north quarterpipe which was huge after tucking off the first table and then tucking the rest of the way (several hundred feet) and I only ended up getting 15' out. I can't imagine how much speed he musta had.

You have too push a lot with your legs.....and try to not fall on the other side of th 1/4 pipe... But those falls are really nice to see on a video........................
