^^^ rich is right, PC and brighton/alta/bird is the way to go

ski snowboard photography rule #1, which can only be broken if you know proper composition techniques.....shower where the rider came from and where he's going

aka include jump and landing

never seen so many pics too close - normally its the opp.
best jump pic is one with lip in foreground, like the guy ablove sez, its all about giving scale and perspective

I would have to say that my personal favorite is the back of the lip behind, skier more in foregraound. althugh it might not show the landing, the skier is the subject more than the lip.

unless you have a crane. Then the sickest picture is from above.
