switch aerials

i heard some guys on the u.s. team are trying to do them, and some guys in switzerland are getting them approved by the FIS, are they even possible? if thats true i think its cool how even aerials is getting influenced by newschool. any footage?

when an officer pulls you over: gee son your eyes look red, have you been drinking?

tanner in propaganda (i think) was the only i've seen

I know in Salt Lake some peopel hit those water ramps switch, but on snow, that like defies gravity, haha.

i don't think we'll be seeing that for a while.

It would be wierd, those guys are so used to flipping backwards, I wonder how they would have to adjust to flipping forward. A Quintwisting quad front would be cool though

i'm with Ross. I've thought about that a lot. Say you do like a lay full 1/2full, that would work. just sooo dangerous if you fall forward on your fakie landing.

Aerials would be better if guys didn't just do single and double twists in the flips, rather than trying say a back one-and-a-half - that would take a whole lot more skill. The only time I've seen that is in SolidPowder. Is there a ruling agaist this or are guys just too pussy/anal to try something new?

i dont think landing switch would be even possible...they go so high and land on a not steep landing.its not like a big air.

A not steep landing? Their landings are extremely steep, a lot more then a big air jump. Or maybe I just interpreted your post wrong. Oh well

Yeah, their landings are REALLY steep - they need to be steep because they come in to land at such a high angle.

full=backflip with a full twist (back 360, penciled, obviously)


and yah, unless some adjustments were made (takeoff angle/landing angle) a switch landing would be like impossible...and if you changed those, that would be changing the sport...

well tanner hits an aerial water ramp switch so the switch takeoff is possible. It would definitely make it more interesting.

if they are doin swich aerials which they are i've seen them...but only off the single and the double...off the double they do swich branni-full so thats swich front with a half twist and then into back full twisting layout its intense.
