system binding twin tips..

i was thinkin about skis today..and i realized that most skis that aren't twin tips are goin towards having system bindings..like pilots..p50s and such..and i was just wonderin how long everyone thinks it's gonna be til twintips move from screw-mounted bindings that come seperate from skis to full system skis?

The MadTrix System seemed to have a lot of complaints about the weight, but I have only seen good things about the Nordia Beast System. Given that these skis are all twins, isn't your question a little moot?

i forgot all about the mad trix system..i think the massive amount of shittiness that came with those might've blurred my memory..i wasn't really talkin about the system where you can switch the bindings around like that..i was talkin about skis that come with only one pair of bindings..like you can't put a different companies bindings on a pair of skis..like the pilots..
but i haven't heard anything about the beast system..like how is it considered a 'system'?

'noridca beast system' HA! it only lasted a year and they scrapped the whole thing. next year nordica is using a system, just with marker bindings instead of there own.

i would also like to point out, all skis are slowly becoming twin-tipped. Now semi-twinned is the rage, but soon all the way.

they are going that way because it's a money grab for the companies. Much better chance of someone buying a complete salomon setup if they HAVE to.

I think that if companies wanted to put an integrated binding system on a twin, they would have to:
1. Make sure it is lightweight.
2. Make sure you can move the centerpoint, as well as adjust the binding to fit different boot sizes.
So many people nowadays mount their bindings in a different position in relation to the mounting line. It would be cool to be able to move your binding up or down the ski whenever you wanted.

^ I agree, something like the beast system would work great, you can move your center mark like plus or minus 2 cm with just a flick of a screwdriver.

those are definitely some good points..
i hadn't really thought of all the different mounting points..but that'd definitely have to be included with that if a company did that..

Yeah I like Line's idea of putting inserts in the ski, that would work if you wanted to move the binding up or down the ski. Just put several inserts in like on a snowboard.
