SAT's v.s. ACTs

has anyone on here taken the ACTs? its an alternative to the SATs. i am not sure whic one i want to take

if you want to go to school on the east coast you kinda have to take the SATs

I took the ACT and SAT. The ACT is big in the Midwest but I don't know how many colleges outside of that are that use it.
