Wrestling or skiing?

i have to make a decision if i want to wrestle next year or quit wrestling and go skiing instead. i never get to go skiing because i have practice on weekdays and saturdays. i enjoy wrestling but i also love skiing. next year im gonna be a sophmore and our wrestling team is gonna be pretty good and ill probably have a varsity spot too. the year after that we are losing a lot of kids and i think our wrestling team is gonna suck. should i quit wrestling now or should i wait till im a junior when we suck and then quit?

you are pretty much the only one who can make this decision. you know what you want and you are the one who has to live with it. It depends on how good the skiing is, but I would say your plan is good to wrestle next year then quit next year

I'm pretty much in the exact situation you are in, except i think im gonna wrestle next year (sophmore) then quit junior year because wrestling will get me into shape for varsity football junior year.

i quit wrestling after 10 years my junior year to go skiing more often. This was after multiple sate championships too. Skiing is a forever sport. do you honestly see yourself wrestling at 30 plus? no. If your not having fun just go ski. what do you have more fun doing?

i like them both, but idk which one i like better. i have fun doing both of them but the problem is that i cant do them at the same time.

all im gonna say is my friend did wrestling with this kid we knew that we thought was a chill kid
long story short the kid ended up being a biesexual and my friend always had to wrestle him in practice its so funny in their tights thigns

just out of curiosity, for those who wrestle, why do you enjoy it? maybe it's just me, but tackling other men in skimpy spandex outfits never seemed appealing. also the posibility of contracting facial herpes is a bit of a turn off for me too.

I wrestle for the enjoyment of kicking the other guys ass. It is one of the best feelings just absolutly crushing someone else. Wrestling is legalized fighting. Watch a wrestling match closley, do you think they all play clean?I also enjoy a good challenge and until you have tried wrestling you have no idea what a hard workout is. As for the suits, they really aren't that bad, you can get a full body suit if you feel like being a pussy and the facial herpes thing.... that has never happened at my school in its 40 years of a wrestling program.

I just finished 9 years of wrestling, 8-12, then 4 years of college.. for me, it was the best move i ever made... i can ski for the rest of my life, but wrestling is only there for a few years. if you enjoy wrestling, you should go for it while you still can.

if you have some high goals for skiing, such as going pro and all, then go for that one while you're still young.

if you decide to wrestle, you always have your sundays and the occasional saturdays to ski, as well as the end of the winter and breaks..

skiing for sure
yea you can ski when you are older, but you cant ski park when you are older or do crazy shit like drop big cliffs because when you get older, it hurts to do like anything lol

haha yeah, i love beating the shit out of guys.. broke a kids nose on a crossface, tore another ones acl on a throw, and cracked some kids ribs on a throw. it sucks ending on a injury default, but hey, thats wrestling

if u think it could pay for college down the road if ur good enough then stick with it otherwise like said above skiing is forever wrestling is def def not!

i had the same problem with baseball. this year i gave up baseball for skiing cuz i got my liscense and can ski all i want. so wrestle till u can drive and then if u'd rather ski then ski

my friend had this same dilemma and he chose wrestling. he'll be wrestling at states this weekend so i think it was a good decision. then on sunday hes goin skiing with me!

It depends how good you are compadre. I chose wrestling when this happened to me last year cause I knew I could win a bunch of tournaments if i wrestled, plus get into badass shape. If you are a good wrestler, wrestle, otherwise, ski.

yo man this is a skiing site, so i can just guess what most of the responses are. but in the long run, which activity would u like to have done. what do u have the most fun doing? base ur decision on what u really enjoy more.

this mostly depends on your own decision, i'd probably quit to go skiing just because i like skiing better but it really is all up to you

please do not do wrestling i was forced into wrestling in 9th grade and i hated it soo much the next year when i couldnt ski at all so i quit and now im super happy i ski every day and ive gotten tons better. Trust me ski wrestling is sweaty men wrestling around halfnaked in skin tight clothes....gay
