AVI problem

I have a few avi movies on my computer, not all the sudden like they dont work. When I open WMV if will play the sound from the vid, but no picture. Any ideas whats wrong?

are they capture videos? if they are compressed avi they might be divx encoded and if they are your going to need divx player for that. answer me yonder question and i will provide thee with thou solution

file size vs. length. i want you to tell me if its a video you captured. give me the file size and the length of the video and i can probably tell you

Check out VLC. Its a media player that plays like everything.

over an hour and 572mb...sounds like its compressed to hell. definately try divx player. download it from www.divx.com

divx plays pretty much all too. im not so sure about apple based files but everything pc related it plays
