ive had pipe cleaners all season, up until last weekend when i pulled the heel of my p18 out of em, which is a bummer.
theyre a good ski, and the race base is definitely noticeable, much faster than the lower grade extruded bases people are putting on the lower end skis. wax them on the regular and youll be super happy with the results.
the whole edge argument is kinda a crock. they have almost the same edge thickness as the ar6, no one can tell you otherwise if you look at the skis side by side. they may be a different material, but i have been hitting rails on them all year and see nothing beyond normal impact damage to em. a few cracks that may not have been there had they been an ar6, but nothing serious, and the cracks dont go all the way through, except for one.
as far as them being a stiff ski, too stiff for park, once again, bullocks. id personally like them to be a little stiffer, because compared my my scratch bc's (best ski i have ever had), theyre not super stable at speed, even taking into consideration the smaller platform. even mounted at suggested, theyre a bit squrrelly at high speeds. grated i used to race, so probably ski them harder on groomers than others might.
its a good all around ski, great for park, great switch, and as long as youre not using it as a primary rail ski, you should be ok in that department as well. everyone needs to stop saying that theyre a bad ski for park and actually spend some time on a pair.
