Edges on new skis...detuning?

aight so in the past ive just detuned any new skis i get underfoot after each of the first three or 4 days skiing... and it worked great for the park but i totally lost my edge hold on our icy east slopes. i dont want to just leave them tho cause i ski park real hard and they get so many burrs and shit im falling pretty hard when i catch. so obviously ill just have to compromise but what does everyone else do with this?

only detune the small area underfoot that you slide and you SHOULD be fine everywhere else

a day of rails will detune your skis anyway

I usually just get a 3 degree base bevel and then just rip rails and shits straight
