Ok, so my friend and I are having a disagreement. I am dating this girl and my friend says that i need to ask her about what he has done before, like how far she's gone. I told him that i would rather not know and that it seems impolite to me to ask a girl that and that i am generally uninterested in any of her previous activity. He said its important because you need to know if you are gonna get some disease or something. I told him that if we ever reach that stage in our relationship, i'll find out, but for now, i don't really care. He said that she even told him about what shes done and that its not that big of a deal to ask. She told me that it's not a rude question at all but i still don't want to find out. Am I trippin or what?
oh, and by the way, i know this sounds like some straight 6th grade shit but whatever.

In my case, I didn't need to worry about that because I was my girlfriends first boyfriend. Here is some advice from me. If you don't really care than don't ask because it will make things awkward for a bit. However, with some guys, they think it's bad to ask and they end up sitting there wondering what happened until it drives them mad. If you want to ask then ask, don't let it bother you though, because if she really cares about you then all of that other stuff doesn't matter.

I'm personally super open about that stuff. I told my ex everything he ever asked about. If he wants to know, then sure, I have no problem telling, sometimes I just give up the information in conversations with other friends around (I tend to talk about that stuff a lot with certain friends).
If you don't care to know, then it doesn't matter. If you actually want to know, then ask her. You have the right to if your relationship is going to involve sexual activity. It's a safety precaution as well as could help you know what you're dealing with.
