Sorry to dualize or polarize the situation, but basically, your dream is killing my dream. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, http://www.ipcc.ch/) released new findings last week... which i found out now because my american newspaper gets mailed to canada so it takes forever.

It's basically a doomsday report for skiing (for more on doomsday, see: the doomsday vault being build on svarbald island in the north sea http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6335899.stm).

That's all I'm going to say. Look it up. It's bad, it's getting worse, it's gaining academic support, and it's still supposedly understated... so just fucking do something. I don't care who you are or what you think... just start thinking.

Bike EVERYWHERE. It's good for your skiing legs anyway. Oh, and by the way, don't say "oh, I use E-85, so I'm not hurting the earth." E-85 does not conserve any gas in the long run. All the gas-powered equipment required to make a gallon of E-85 (tractors for planting/harvesting corn, ect) uses as much, if not more gas than that gallon of E-85 will "save".

Naw, this year is just an El Nino year, but in general, if we do nothing we will be fucked. but the possibility of enough people actually caring enough to act to make a change is basically impossible.  until that day,  bike, recycle, and do everything possible as much as possible and set straight any nay-sayers to save our snow!
