Inverted tricks...

so i wanna start to invert my tricks but i dont know there to start... does anyone have any tips on lincoln loops, flat spins, or any kinda of inverted tricks...we dont need all the hater comments... thanks guys!

backflips are really easy start there get comfortable with being upsidedown then start other inverts

if you do a flat spin right you do not go inverted. but easy inverts are backs, and fronts. lincholns are good too cause you can see the landing the whole time. i find backs and mistys are good too caus eyou can spot your landings real easy.

start wiht the backflip, its as easy as a 360.  approch the jump tucked doen a little.  Basically, just pull backward as fast as you can at the lip and look for the landing.  Stomp it and ride away.  Make sure you are committed, Whatever you do, dont bail!

Once you get that down, try a flatspin.  Aproach the jump the same way, and keep your backflip motion but bring your right (or left) arm down hard at the lip of the jump.  This will send your skis in the opposite direction above your head.  Dont worry about getting back level again, it just will come naturally.  Landing is as easy as a backflip.

Lincoln loop:  same thing as a flatspin but dont pull backwards.  Watch the landing the whole time.  Picture yourself doing a cartwheel .  Also, in my experience, it is better to lean forward just a little.

Well, rather than criticizing this guy's description of how to do a flat spin, give your own description rather than shooting down someone's attempt at helping the person who started the thread.

ya i was wondering the same thing. i have trouble doing backflips on traps but i can double frontflip off a diving board and it is a ton more natural. how big of a jump should i hit.

try inverts and shit on trampolines or diving boards, it helps get a good feel for them

Im sure you have done a flatspin.  Actaully i just did a couple last week and am goin up again tomorrow.  This is really the easiest way to do it.  Just pull with one side as you are coming off the lip, and it automatically puts u in the motion.  Maybe u should talk once you do one and have an idea what u are saying.

Oh and btw, when I do one tomorrow, I will be sure to post the video here.

i do lincolns. im pretty sure they are easier then backies because, like its been said, u can spot ur landing all the way.
but i would def try on water ramps or a tramp firts.

Mistys are nice and easy. They come around real easy. They were my first invert.

To do one:

Pretend there is a table you have to jump over that is in between you and the landing. If you just straight air though, your feet will hit it and youll slam face first onto the table. Instead try to sort of roll over it (like a high jump).

So when you come up to the jump, raise your right arm with your elbow bent at 90. Your arm should make an "L". Then pop hard (try to jump over the imaginary table) and throw your right wrist to your left knee. Your head should move from straight to spotting under your left armpit.  Now grab your knees and wait. The trick will come around fairly quickly and easily. While you may not land your first few, you will have your feet under you.

for sure go for the backflip first...it gets you over the thought of going inverted and its simple when you hit the jump for it, its a natural motion to throw it back ... the best way is to build a nice back yard jump on a snow day or something when you get like a foot of snow and then just pile more snow on your landing so you have like 2 or 3 feet there...thats the best.

And you will not land your first backflip. Very few people I know actually have. Dont worry about it. Its not that bad. I actually didnt land my first one either. You will flail through the air and freakout while upside down. Your tips will probably catch and fling you forward into the ground. Just keep trying and make sure you tuck in the air. Over rotating is better than under.

lincons are nice to learn off cliffs (thats how i leand i dunno if thats just me) and for backflips make like a 2 or 3 ft jump with a huge amount of kick inot pow or a soft landing and basickly do the same thing as a gainer on a diving board
