Advice for Summer Storage from a shop monkey
Hot wax your skis with storage wax. Storage wax is generally just really cheap crappy bulk wax. Put plenty on and do not scrape. This prevents drying out of your skis.
Set your DIN to zero. This keeps your springs in your bindings from getting worn out. Don't forget to reset them at the end of the summer.
Take your goggles off of your helmet if that's where you keep them. This keeps the foam from getting permanently imprinted.
Do use a storage oil on your edges. This prevents rusting. Your edges will rust eventually from condensation in a humid enough environment.
