the 03-04 line binding is compatible with an adapter that line sells this year.
it's a plate that goes from any normal ski pattern to the Quickmounts 4x4 pattern that a ski shop can install using a Quickmount Jig

it barely even adds any rise/height to te binding (which is already quite high)

get a pair of looks, stick with quality. the reactor binding has a few more years before all the bugs will be worked out. don't waste your money.

Why would you want to use the Line binding, with all its problems? And won't the plate add a lot of height to the bindings?

ok now th line binding looks cool an all i guess..but its has its problems....wait a year or two for the next couple models...that way line has enuff time to work their shit out...my friend roos was up in vail threw a little easy 3 and the binding snapped and he landed perfectly and all...let them work their shit out

hell if no one buys there bindings for a few years then they will have no money to keep researching and make the binding better. So if no one buys them, they will never get better. I say fuck it, buy them, and support a good fuckin idea to make it better.

i've met some guys before that ride for line that took the plate off. either way the binding still sucks and will for a few years.

Hey guys, didn't you read what I just said?

for the 03-04 season a plate will be available to convert ANY ski to the 4x4 Quickmount pattern. It just has to be installed with a Quickmount Jig, and it adds minimal height.

the plate is just adding height to an already TALL binding...were talking FIS race height

unless Line finds a way to take the height of the binding down, the adapter is just putting you way too high up, and just adding unnecessary weight...i know were definately not getting the Line binder in our shop next year

Does the plate just sit on top of the ski? If so, it will have to add quite a bit I'd think. Or does it recess the inserts into the ski - that would be pretty clever if it did that.

Anyway, why can't Line just release mounting jigs for the 4x4 pattern so that people can have their skis drilled and mounted with the bindings just like any other?

i bought my ass a pair of darksides with the demo of the reactors.....

they're heavy, and higher than most skis, but they're the most kick ass binding i've owned......

sure, they're heavy, but it's right under your foot, and if you do it right, they actually help you spin.....

and the hight isn't that much of an issue, unless you use that adapter, then i dunno.....
i mean, it's just like any riser plate on any binding (Salomon, Look, and i think it's smaller that the Atomic riser plate...)
the height means that you can actually hold an edge on steep shit too.... which is nice, unless you hang out in the park for 12 hours a day (lame)

that's my review.....

and the o3-4 models are going to be more plastic, and therefore lighter than the 80% steel ones of this season.

im not gettin the line binging, but im reluctant to buy looks again because they ripped out of stept's skis when he was sliding a bench and my break fell off in mid air a few times causing the ski to go flying, but seeing i liked them better than my salomons ill probably end up with em again

maybe the line riders have other binding sponsors? Since line only made a binding this year the skiers had to get their bindings somewhere else. If they all have them why would they just go and drop a sponsor for a sub par binding?

Of the Line UK Pro team at the BUSC championships about a month ago, none of them were using the binding. A guy who is kind of on the flow team was using it and he said the brakes kept bending. There was a girl who had them on demo and they said she's broken them three times in a week, and this girl wasn't even a good skier.

the line binding is simply amazing and i wont be surprised in about 3 years when we're all skiing on it...right now i would def. say DO NOT buy it because i did a jap 180 off a table in the mini park with them and the skogens and the binding fucking shattered...that was the only time i thought it sucked...as far as turning and rails it was smooth....their is little to no vibration at all and it feels more like your foot is connected to the ski.....its very very sick but needs to be fixed

I THINK the only my bindings ripped out of my ski is beacause it was mounted shitty, im just going to go with looks.

The binding doesn't have adjustable wings, right? Because the toe looks like one solid piece. How can it keep your boot secure?

And I agree with you - it's a very good concept, and a decent effort for the first year of production, but give them a few years to work out the problems first.
