Candide the most talented?

would you say that Candide is the most talented skier of this generation?

His consistancy is second to none, what about his creativity, is it all it has been hyped up to be.

Without doubt he is a class above all europeans at the mo, but what about over in north america?

candid goes ridiculously huge, but i would not say he is the best skier out there. he really one does one grab, but he has perfected the shit out of it. i think he is really fuckin good, but not the best.

candide pole plants cuz he learned to ski outside the park. he was a bumper; look it up, im betting you he was. ive seen him hit the old 4 point landings every once in a while. pretty cool. its a style all his own.

Probably pole plants from old mogul esperience, he is AMAZONG though, not sure if he is best in europe, olson is pretty good to.

You can argue about his talent, but there is no question that he has been at the absolute forefront (where only a handful are) of skiing longer than anyone else. Ex: 2nd in the first X games. Everyone else from that time has either faded out, or disappeared almost completely.

honestly, if someone hadn't pointed out his pole plant takeoffs a few years back I'd never have noticed. I dunno if you can identify the most talented rider though.

i dunno, top 3 maybe, mostly for his jibbing. in the air hes all about the tail grabs nonstop, maybe try a differnt grab? i think jon is more talented though, hed be closer to #1 because of his variety of tricks and the way he floats them

candide has done some fairly unexpected things over the years. he goes huge and does tech shit, muted and tailed or not. 810 on!? shiiit. and what that fucker does at the candide invitational... and remember fucking superpark over that hip and shit? who eles can slay like dude could cho know!?

i love how candide skis, i love the pole plant, he doesnt ski like anyone else.


as for raw talent though probably tanner, he's so good in so many disiplines.

or maybe vanular, its scary how fast he learns tricks

jon has been around almost as long, and jon is the only newschooler to win a big mountain contest. plus he raced at a world cup level.

ya after seeing jon in keystone for the past couple weekends i would have to say he is. He is such a machine, he just has everything so dialed, and is so down to earth. Everything is super calculated with him. He is such a good skier.

even though this has nothing to do with the comments above, i think that andreas hatveit is the most talented/sickest skier right now. He kills everything from pipe, park, BC, handrails. Watch ski porn or the new colorado vid on www.skifilm.no, to sick

Candide always pulls stuff of that makes my jaw drop. Every single year. While he's not the most consistent skier (injuries happen) he has a really defined style that I know and love. He's up there with the legends for sure, like JP, Jon, Tanner and JF.

I dont care what you say, JF will always be a legend.

I worked with a french guy who's seen Candide ski, and he says that he's never seen another skier, or snowboarder, who can hit a jump with the same precision - everyone would have the same speed going in, but Candide always went higher than everyone else

yeah he was! fucking great bumps skier aswell, would have been the best but i prefer what he does now.

you beat me to the punch. He was a junior champion in France and dominated the moguls circut. Old schoolers like myself like the way pole plants set spins. Check out the end of Superpark the movie where Candide was sessioning the 110' hip end to end. His flare tailgrab with a poleplant by the way was one of the biggest airs i've ever seen...
