I've been looking for some cheap twintips that can still do well on the piste and found a good deal on some unused 03/04 (black and white) Head Mad Trix, however they're 190 which I think is probably a bit long. However, as it would be my first ski purchase, I'm not sure about that.
I'm 6'2"-6'3"ish and 180lbs. I've normally skiied 1/2 weeks a year in the Alps but I'm doing a season in NZ this summer, and thought some skis would be a good idea, and will hopefully last me a few more years of holidays.
Any other suggestions for similar, cheap skis would help too.
i am 6'3" and 160 pounds and i have the 2001 mad trix at 181 and i like it there. and yes, it is a stiff ski, so think about that before thinking about length.
I'm not guilty.
YOU'RE the one that's guilty.
The lawmakers, the politicians, the Columbian drug lords, all you who lobby against making drugs legal.
Just like you did with alcohol during the prohibition.
You're the one who's guilty.
I mean, c'mon, let's kick the ballistics here: Ain't no Uzi's made in Harlem. Not one of us in here owns a poppy field.
This thing is bigger than the drug dealers. This is big business.
This is the American way.
I try to ski a bit of everything, spend time in the park, and carving on the piste but I like to ski off piste a bit, particularly on powder days. I'm probably a good intermediate skiier, my technique goes a bit off on icy or bumpy blacks and my tricks are limited, but I can ski most conditions.
I guess my main question on the Mad Trix is whether 190 seems ok? They seem like a decent park ski that can carve well, and will last, but I generally get given 178/180ish skis at the shop.
