i was out for about 2 minutes today after eating shit hitting my head on a rail, after about a half hour with ski patrol guys they realeased me saying i had a standard concussion but didnt need a ct scan at the hospital but i still couldnt remember shit and i had to have my dad pick me up cuz i couldnt drive. how long u think i should take it easy so i dont derstroy my brain?

yeah i was wearing a helmet but i dropped in way too fast and tried blindside 270 out but did more like a blindside 300

Dude seriously dont listen to ski patrol they know shit i swaer to god all they know is how to make cardboard splints
i fucked up my ankle 3-4 weeks ago and the guy said it was just a bad spraing so i walked on it for a week but then it started swelling up and i couldnt feel my foot so i went to the hospital and it was a severe break focused on the bone that holds my weight.....
get yo shit checked trust me

yeah but my dad is a surgeon he says take it easy for a week, my mom is a nurse and she has forbid me from ever entering the park agian

id say get a new helmet, cuz urs is probably shot now if u got a concusion while wearin it and about 6-7 days sounds right but as long as ur domepeice dont hurt anymore and ur seeing straihgt.

i remember last year one kid w/ my group hit his head on ice and blacked out got taken away in an ambulence....we just sorta kept goin down the hill and left him there sittin was funny but he was back the next week

then how the hell did you get a concussion? what kind of helmet was it?

i heard the bad lutenent is a really dangerous helmet, but i dunno if you wearing that one.

it depends on how old your helmet is. After a few years, the foam in helmets eventually loses some of its bump-absorbancy. For example, my helmt is kind of old, and I def need a new one even though it isn't cracked or anything. Oh, and nurses are alwyas super protective of their kids because they see people with broken bones like every day and pretty much every injury possible

yea like 99% of helmets can only take one good shot to the dome peice like that, i mean its a still a hard plastic thats gonna protect u but if u had another bad crash or seomthing like all the shock absorbtion or something isnt nearly as strong as it was initialaly, go ask someone who isnt gonna try to sell u a helmet or seomthing, like a head doctor or someone who wears nice helmets and falls all the time

id say go get it checked out by a doctor. sure your moms a nurse and your dads a surgen but i always like hearing the facts from a doctor, thats just me though. oh, and dont go to the emergency room doctors, last year i broke my collar bine and they said to just keep it in a sling, but when i went to a really doctor he told me that if i did that my bone wouldnt set right

same thing happend to me, when the headace stops wait a week after that. Otherwise you could be out for the rest of the season so I wouldnt risk it.

ski patrole at whiteface(im guessing thats where you were) are dumb, they told me i deffanatly broke my coller bone and scapula, turns out i dislocated my sholder, so yeah i wouldnt listen to them
