I think I just signed all my ski time away to architecture. We'll see how that goes. I only have one class tuesdays and thursdays at 3:00 though, so maybe I'll have spare time.....maaayyyybe.
I have fridays off so I'm stoked on that. I'm just taking university studies the first year to see what I'm into. For some reason I decided to take arabic next year. that should be interesting.
it cant be that tough. i saw some of the senior film projects from last year and I realized that my high school film program was making shit that good. however if you have never edited on fcp, and only used little shitty consumer cameras, then it might be tough.
I still don't know i researched snow science and it looks sweet, you just hangout at bridger and big sky but it maybe boring cuz i would wanna hit it up, you should at least ttry to minor in it
The snow science sounds cooler than it is, and the classes are a bitch to get into. You only take one class that has anything to do with ski resorts, and its when your upper level.
MTA (Film) is my wife's major, you have to keep at least a 3.125 gpa to stay (every semester). Pretty tough.
same story here, but my advisor said said there is some sort of avalanche engineering that i might look into later down the road. My orientation leader said they might start a program with that, but I don't know for sure.
Where is everyone getting a pass at? i dont know where ... i was thinking big sky but its hella money! I have to have a pass at hood ... so i can only get one pass to the three mtns in montana ... Whats the best?
There's already a couple threads on this, but the general consensus is: Big Sky for big terrain, smaller crowds, and more consistent snow. Bridger for technical stuff, cliffs, deep snow, and convenience.
Big Sky's student rates isn't much more than bridger. You'll run a lot more on gas though obviously. I think the crappy transit system in bozeman might be making runs up there. But the best thing to do is find other Big Sky riders. After nine seasons of putting up with Bridger's asshole patrollers, constant lying about building a terrain park, and day pass demons I'm switching to the Sky so I can know what it feels like to hit an actual jump with an actual existing landing. I mean, hey it's probably my last ski season and I've only ridden park when I went to CoC two summers.
there are indeed busses from bozeman to big sky. and they are actually nice coach busses. they stop on campus, at the mall, and out near 4 corners. its really not a bad system at all. takes a little longer than driving yourself, but its way more chill to just sit back on a nice bus and not have to drive. they go all throughout the day too.
Bridger is sick for sure, but it is so crowded on any given powder day that it almost isn't even worth it unless you are willing to hike a while. I think that if I stay around for second semester that it is going to be Big sky
if there is a bus to big sky then i am for sure getting a pass at big sky. i dont think i plan on being in montana much during the winter. so i dont even know if i want to pay for a pass. i guess i am going to have to wait and see when the time comes.
but i dont know the dates yet .. im not going to be gone all winter just some of the more busy months to help out at shows and stuff like that. thats why have to get a pass in oregon as well as montana. It just sucks that montana ski passes are a lot more expensive.
well i was thinking about getting one at big sky and thats is about 600 i think and a pass to hood is 300.... so put the two together it is a lot of money for me.
Fuck jobs just work in the summer a fuck lot so you can buy your passes and not have to worry. Cant wait to ski there this winter. Im in roski hall 318 or something
