Jay, Stowe or Sugarbush????

So, this winter I plan on going skiing at one of these mountain with friends. We would go with a charter bus or any other way of transportation except plane or Segway (I live in Montreal). It would be a 1 or 2 day trip. Which mountain should I choose?
(I've already been to Jay Peak but not at Stowe nor Sugarbush)
P.S. Not all of my friends are good skiers/snowboarders so I would like to go at a place that can please all of them.
Thanks for the help and suggestions
Another P.S.: I checked the searched bar

not sugarbush, it is by far the worst of the three...besides that you cant go wrong with jay or stowe...both have good woods and ok parks, for beginners stowe has its own beginner peak, spruce peak with a gondola between that and mansfield(its intermediate/expert peak)

if you know where to go and are willing to hike yeah it can be great but if that is what you are into there is way more stuff at jay that is more acessable and more snow...for stowe to be good you have to hit a powder day, jay the powder is everyday

To be honest Jay Peak is a nice mountain, Stowe is too crowded and the lifts don't move people around as efficiently.
In reality Sugarbush is a great area with 2 large mountains and 111 trails. Krongos, you are entitled to your opinion but I don't agree whatsoever.
Sugarbush blows both away with the amount of terrain (4,000 skiable acres), the vertical (2,600 feet) and the amount of available off-piste to ski. Have you seen any out-of-bound ropes recently because I sure haven't.
We are consistently ranked as one of the best resorts in the East, we will have the best terrain features (by far) compared to anyone in the area. Super Parx built 23 new features for us (these guys have built numerous Top 10 parks in North America.)
We also have 16 lifts (way more than Jay Peak or Stowe) that move our guests around efficiently so there are hardly lift lines.
It comes down to a personal preference for mountains so why not give us a try and see for yourself. I have skied all over the world and I know that if you can ski here you can go anywhere. No matter the ability we've got it for you.
If you don't believe me, ask the Egan brothers (who were named 2 of the top 35 most influential skiers of our time) who called Sugarbush home.

I have never been to Stowe or Sugarbush, but I can tell you that Jay is really really really cool. I went there last season and had a great time.
If you go you should stay at Grandpa Grunts its wicked cheap and you can get gnarly drunk and fuck the place up and no one cares. We put 3 holes in the wall and gave Grandpa a beer and said sorry, he said he "didn't care".

I live in Burlington, which is sort of equal distance from all three (jay is further). Go to stowe. Stowe gets more consistent snowfall and their back country is sick. You're friends who are slightly lacking in skill would probably enjoy stowe more than jay. And i'll be at stowe, what better reason could there be to go?

whatever you do, dont go in the next couple weeks, all 3 mountains are hurting (like every where else in the east) and not very much of the good stuff will be skiable for a while.
All 3 can have really fun glades on a pow day. Stowe and Jay defitely have good access to cool out of bounds terrain (if your willing to traverse a lot or hike a short distance).
Bush has lots of nice employees(stowe definitely lacks this) that care about providing a good park but always seems to mess up some small detail, wasting all their time and money spent. Restrictive risk management policies(ride ons to rails)need to change. One crappy rail, if set up well, is more fun than 20 shitty set ups.

Stowe. I've skied all three and definitly think Stowe is the best. All three are similiar in many ways, but stowe is a bit more rugged. You can hike to the chin when the snow is good and get some turns right above timber line. Place sometimes reminds me of skiing out west. When the conditions are good.

its not gonna be good enough to have the gondola open, nevermind hiking the chin

seriously, i have heard you talk up sugarbush enough in these forums, its getting lame, obviously people have strong feeling against sugarbush and they're not listening to you try and fucking sell them the same garbage we've been hearing the last 3 years. i find it odd that you use newschoolers so much and haven't had a single "park update" for your own resort. fucking get with it

The whole point of me being here is to let you know that it's not the same "shit" at Sugarbush this year. Have you not heard they hired Super Parx (who has built them 23 new features)? Nothing we have done this year is the same garbage, so I am trying to let people know that a serious effort has been made.
By the way, a forum is considered an open discussion.
There is a park & pipe section on the website but due to the lack of snow around here we haven't set up our full park yet so there is nothing to update.
I am merely stating fact so you don't have to believe if you don't want to. I can't control that.
Considering that these threads are about Sugarbush I find it incredibly pertinent to reply......interesting thought, no??

Umm, we have more. Look at the acreage comparison online for yourself.
Our ridgeline between both mountains is almost 5 miles (similar to Vails).

Trust me we have hired a new park crew who will maintain the features each day. Since we brought in Super Parx they have also trained our crew and taught them how to properly set up the rails and the run-ins.
Our park manager knows his shit and has attended programs in park management.
We don't have any more crappy rails and our set-ups should be much better.
We are trying to get past the history of our parks and start anew. Believe me, it's difficult but that's why we are checking the forums to see what the general sentiment is.
Peace.

just because you have someone from super parx come in doesn't mean shit Burke had someone from mammoth come and build their park this year and it was nothing special. Jay is definitely the best mountain. But if your friends don't like skiing glades I wouldn't go there. They also get the most snow but have the the worst snowmaking of those three areas. Also if you want only park jays park isn't gonna be that nice by then.

Mammoth mountain is a resort.
Super Parx is a terrain park company who only specializes in features and flow. So it does mean a lot.
Super Parx have built top 10 parks in North America so I am sure you would be impressed by their resume.
It all depends on who is building the features and how the individual resort decides to use their talents.
If you want, I can go through all of decisions and meetings to have you better understand how a park and flow are implemented. Contact me directly if you like:

yeah and mammoths parks all suck so i am sure their park people know nothing at all about building nice parks. Its gonna help but you need more then just a pro designing your park. Is this guy going to stay there the whole year?

The Super Parx crew are not staying but they have helped train the park staff.
Our park manager has experience and recently attended the Pipe Cutters training out at Whistler which highlights terrain park management.
Things should be better than in previous years. We will maintain the in-ramps as well as the big hits (we are going to groom each night I am told). Hopefully this will keep the flow from changing day to day.
Rock on.

well that sounds pretty good and sugarbush is a nice mountain with a good park they just don't have the powder and glades like stowe and jay

Jay does get more snow, that is true.
But you are correct about the gladed terrain versus Stowe.......we have a lot more!!
It all depends on whether or not you know where to go. There are tons of stashes on-piste, but if you get into the Slidebrook Area there are numerous gladed lines with some good pow. It all depends on the snowfall.
Pray for snow and come on over.
