Mtn. Bike Blue Book
I'm broke like a Vietnamese village whore in the late 60's early 70's and need money in a hurry. I have a Specialzed FSR Comp Bike that is a couple years old...I haven't used it all that much, but I never took care of it so it has its impurities. Anyhow, I want to sell it and was wondering what the best way to do it was. I know I could go to a bike store and probably sell it for parts or something, but they would rip me off as to maximize their resale profits, which is understandable. I guess what I'm really asking is what is the best wat to get an honest straight up appraisal of my bike? I don't know a lot about them, technically, I just ride the fucking thing, so it would probably be easy for me to get fed some bullshit...anyone got some idears? Thanks.

there is an actual mtn bike blue book that is published adn i'm sure if you searched around you could find it on the net. or you could just take it to your local shop and they will tell you what its worth. its just hard to say without seeing it and knowing what year it is and what parts etc.
www.pinkbike.com has an amazing buy sell on there site. i sold my bike and bought my new one off there so that might be your best bet, also www.mec.ca (mountain equipment co-op) also has really good buy sell with a whole biking category, i got lots of replies from having an add on there to, those fsr's are also in high demand, lots of people wnat them
