Bending FKS Brakes

Has anyone ever bent the brakes on their FKS's without taking the whole binding apart?

has anyone ever snapped a pair? Should I just put them in the vice and bend?

mount them on the skis, turn the din all the way up, put a boot in the binding, bend.

seen it done that way and it gets the job done.

BUT, taking them apart isnt that hard and only takes maybe an hour for a pair.

Id say for sure take them apart and put the brakes themselves in a vise.

take them do not bend while mounted its just a bad idea.

taking em apart is a little worrysome the first time but they are so simple its retarded just take am apart put in vise heat and bend

BUMP, i just got some fks's with 120mm brake size i think (or something like that if it sounds right) but i might just take them into a shop which might be easier

this thread is 9 months old. and they dont make fks with 120mm brakes. they will come with 75mm brakes, just like the rest. and why did ou bump this if you're getting your shop to do it?

yea i ordered form sierra so thats probably why, and in relation to the question before i was hoping for opinions on if it would be a good idea to take em into a shop for professional assistanse or if its easy enoug to do it your self (i avent checked the tgr thing yet and i dont wanna mess them up)

why would it be a bad isea? they'll probably do it for free if you mount them at the same time.

Bending the brake while it is mounted is fine just put a piece of metal between the the brake and ski before bending down. I have bent at least 50 pr of FKS's while mounted to ski.
