I Dislike.. Vegetarians..Peta and green peace

vegitarians who think there better because there "healthy" when in fact there just attention whores and especially the ones on the godamn TV commercials trying to convert people. PETA people re just annoying as fuck and green peace is satan. i have no idea why i thought of this but please share your oppinions.

omnivours meaning we should eat a combo of meat and plants.  How can i not understand it? its simple.. they dont eat meat.. thats the easy part.  but the hard part is why would someone not want to eat meat.  It tastes good, its good for you, its natural.. the idea of killing animals is sooo "bad" and "awfull" but the animals that we eat survive off of other animals.  Im pretty sure that if humans didnt exsist then lots of animals would die.. becuase we get rid on lots of carnivours that kill off other animals.  We are part of the food chain too, and we have to play our part.

I eat meat..... about 4 times a week. I like it too much to be wholly vegetarian, but the thing is... to produce one pound of animal protien it requires ten times as much land, and 80 times as much water than too produce one pound of plant protien. plus as a plant grows it sucks carbon out of the air, where as when an animal grows it puts more carbon into the air. im not sure if any of you have noticed that 2/5 of the world doesnt have clean drinking water, or that there is less snow every year because the amount of carbon we spew into the air is creating a massive green house all around the planet.... BUT many of these people have...
now to say you dont get all the essential amino acids from vegtables is also not correct. soy beans contain all essential amino acids, hemp seeds contain all esential amino acids in a better ratio than any meat offers, as well as esential fatty acids omegas 3,6 and 9, also in the correct ratio for human consumption, GEE WHIZ that doesnt sound healthy at all.

now i dont like PETA they are a bunch of hipocritical fucktards who want to pretend they are making a difference. but dont say vegetarians arent healty, many arent but im sure if they ate meat they wouldnt be either... considering 51% of americans are overwieght i dont think many americans know how to eat healty.

we arent designed to eat meat at the rate we do. the massive meat consumption in out culture is using huge quantities of energy. any one who knows about simple biology knows that as you move up a trophic level the stystem only retains about 10% of the energy (mass), therefore it requires 10 times as much energy to produce meat protein than plant protein. now i appreciate your attempt at bringing in some scientific fact... but most vegetarians arent doing it because they think it is healtier... but because we are fucking over the planet so badly that they feel bad to be a part of destroying it and want to make as little impact as possible.

wow.. she is fucked.. i mean i dont agree with factory farming and causeing animals pain.. but christ there is a food chain we are all apart of... and i aviod eating meat alot of the time for environmental reasons... but you need to be fucked to think meat is bad because its cruel to animals? if they are really upset about it they should cage wolves and bears and all other carnivores so they cant eat meat.

people like that piss me off because when i say i am a semi vegetarian i get wierd looks and i am nothing like that.

rock on man.. hunting is a very good way to get meat.. it selectively takes a single animal out of its natural habitat so it means the meat is organic, and healthy.. unlike meat from many farms where iut is injected with growth hormones and antibiotics which weaken your immune system... i started eating only organic hunted meat a while ago... thats the way to be. plus organic meat tastes way better.

You don't need meat to live/survive.

So why the hell should someone eat what was once a living animal? I don't know how people can consider it morally ok to kill something, when it offers only supplementary nutrition. It's needless killing.

The only vitamin/mineral you can not get from eating only plants (including abstaining from dairy) is Vitamin B12, which stays in your system for years at a time anyways. It is not necessary.

but meat tastes good and it is natural to eat meat.

but currently my motivation for limiting my meat intake is environmental. but as long as the animal is killed quickly and not feeling too much pain its not that bad.
but there are alot of people who cannont afford soy, and hempseed. and other lentils, because factory farms eliminated the need for a vast infrastructure to collect plant derrived proteins making them more expensive than factory farmed meat. bcause thanks to factory farming we can not only make low quality cheap meat, but we can treat the animals poorly... inject them with antibiotics because they cant live healthy and boost thier immune system naturally. many factory farms dismember the animals for slaughter before they have even been confirmed dead. but other than that i guess they are ok.

i can respect vegitarians if they do it for the right reasons. Like they are protesting inhumane treatment in a factory or something, but people who are like "killing animals is mean" are frickin idiots. Yeah, put you finger in your mouth and feel those two teeth, on the right, and on the left. Yes, those are canines, desined over millions of years to TEAR FLESH. Weve been eating meat for our whole existance, why the hell would you stop now.

what im saying though is... there are more reasons for being vegetarian than you know. its called being environmentally aware... and you are not. for example..its proven that if everyone switched from eating beef to wheat poverty would no longer exist? how does this figure? well the cows feed off of grain and digest it and then we eat the cow and all the energy and space taken up by the wheat is lost.

sorry i just went through that but dont just bash vegetarians.... theres legit reasons for everything

different people have different metabolisms, and different bodies, thus different diets work better for some people...maybe meat is a main part of your diet, for others that may not work. The vast majority of humans are omnivores, but for some people that just doesn't work
it's def not stupid.
what is stupid is preaching your vegitarianism to everybody else. some people like meat, others don't... leave the other side to themselves

whatever. i'm just going to keep this simple.

i really don't like the taste/texture/smell of meat.
i like to take care of my body.
i take protein/other supplements to make up for what i might not be getting from meat.
i'm not trying to convert anyone to become a vegetarian.
it is much better for the environment. for example, to produce 1lb of grain it only requires 25 gallons of water. to produce 1lb of meat it requires over 2500 gallons of water. Plus, food for the animals, energy costs to run machinery and house the animals, etc.
there are plenty of other good/healthy things to eat that don't include meat.

People in poverty are more focused on self preservtion and basically when you are more worried about making a dime to put bread on the table you dont give a fuck about the OIl refinery you work at that is letting sewage into the local river ( non regulated countries ) your just fucking stoked to have a job. I'll admit, I've never fully embraced a vegetarian diet, but for example, a hamburger gives me more energy than a soy burger. There are scientifically valid arguments for and against vegetarianism. I like meat, and I like energy, so I'm going to continue to eat meat.

PETA and Greenpeace annoy me because they're always mailing me pamphlets full of
innacurately conducted studies. Propaganda is everywhere, but it still annoys me. But the little redeeming factor for PETA and Greenpeace is they're also saving the world.

what really rubs me the wrong way are people who are vegetarian one day.. vegan the next, and eating a hamburger the the day after that. I'm nothign close to a vegitarian, but if i was, id be seriously offended by these people.. and there are lots of them. Trend dieters..

Meat provides valuable protein and amino acids not found in plants. Animal protein and plant protein are not the same thing, and different proteins are broken down differently to give you various amino acids. Humans have the enzymes necessary to break down both plant and animal food, though plants not on the same level as say, cows and sheep, who get their nutrients from the grass they eat much more efficientely. We cannot process grass, and there are valuable substances in grasses which you find in the meat.

Fish give you oils and vitamins that are extremely healthy.

Plants are living beings. So your moral conundrum with killing anything is void, because as predators and not primary producers, we HAVE to kill to eat. Tis natural. Unless you are eating only food picked and gathered, you are killing to eat, be it plants or animals.

Let everyone choose what they will and won't eat. But let's not go pretending eating meat is a death trap and morally wrong,and let's not go saying that vegetarians and vegans are stupid for eating what they will (even if there is no real reason for it).

in an ecosystem for every trophic level you move up, it takes 10 times as much energy to get the same amount of mass. that is why alot of people are vegetarian, or at least cut back on meat extensively.

Exactly what I was going to say. I read an arcticle a year or so ago that said PETA was higher on the FBI list for terrorism than anyone else. And I dont understand the hypocrisy, you can kill a baby before its born, but heaven help you if you eat an animal!

....but, you're forgetting the valuable animal protein, which is not like plant protein, that you get from meat, which is broken down rapidly and used to help form muscle rapidly and efficiently. You can live a perfectly healthy life without meat, but the body definitely appreciates eating meat instead of plants for some proteins (your digestion is oh so smoother).

Well it seems to me that most people seam to eat to much meat. It is natural and healthy to eat meat but not for two meals a day like some people do.My mom is a vegetariane but I am not because I love meat. I think peta people are crazy and so does my mom. One reason I think peta people are crazy because theres a town near me called Fishkill named by the dutch that settled the way back when(kill in dutch means stream) and the peta people protested to try and get the name changed to some thing more fish friendly.

I have nothing agaisnt vegetarians but people saying you'd be healthier if you'd only eat vegetables is a load of crap. I know a lot of high performance athletes and guess what...they all eat meat!

You can be in a superb shape if you eat properly and exercice properly. And this goes for vegeterians as much as for meat eaters.

and yes i think some of the things peta does are crazy. i read a quote from them that said even if animal testing found a cure for cancer, they would be against it. thats pretty rediculous.  but i also think they do some good things because i hate to see animals treated badly

well not really.. if you ask any organic chemist they will tell you a molecule is a molecule regardless of where it comes from, and as i have already said many plants produce all essential amino acids... where you have been misinformed is that it is not "animal" protein that makes muscles build faster but other nutrients and essential fatty acids such as omega 3, 6, and 9. that help your body build muscle and assemble proteins faster. and most plants dont contain enough of these nutrients, however some plants (I have already mentioned hemp) provide these nutrients in very large amounts in often times a better ratio than you will find in meat. and in terms of digestion... it is just as smooth if you ease into any diet, many people rush and quickly go from meat every day to vegetarian... and they cant handle the sudden diet change. If you slowly move to a vegetarian diet your digestive system will be fine.
and i think you can get a fair bit of mass by being vegetarian, i am not 100% veg, but i am pretty big with only eating meat about once a week.

I fucked your sister.. There is some pretty awesome arguments going on in this thread.. Green peace does alot of terrorist type shit im sure 10 % of what they do is awesome but %90 percent is pretty fucked up. i remember something like them blowing out the hulls of fishing trawlers.. thats not ok.
