affirmative action

So i have to write this research paper for my sociology class, and its about inter-racial relationships/marriages. We have to use all these given articles and a bunch of them are about affirmative action. Anyone have any ideas how I can draw any connection between these two things or how they might be related????

you could go with how the morals of the country have changed giving way to affirmative action and civil rights for all and to tie in with inter-racial relationships as the countries morals have changed it has become more acceptable for inter-racial relationships. get my drift?

you could also go with the angle about how both are under criticism constantly especially now that the U of M case is being heard by the supreme court.

you could do something about getting worse/better jobs or something because of the affirmative action and how it affects the lives of an inter-racial couple...

affirmitave action is ridiculous, its the worst thing to happen to this country. Your job position should rest solely on your qualifications, not your ethnic background, wtf is this country turning into. i have nothing against minorities at all, dont get me wrong. its just not right that they get jobs over more qualified people because of the color of thier skin or thier sexual preference.
