it won't. after watching travis do a backflip a few years ago i convinced myself that sport was done progressing..now theres backflip cliffhangers, cordovas, etc..and of course thye double back..it will not stop. i don't think any sport will ever stop.

isn't that the best part about action sports? for me, there are two bars to be set. there is the bar that you set for yourself, and then there is a standard for all riders to be measured against. as long as that second bar keeps on goin up(TP double back, whoever threw that underflip, danny way rocket backflip, whoever threw the backside rodeo out of the QP in the big air skateboard), the first bar will continue to go up as well, and that's why this shit is so worth while.
It seems like seeing what everyone else is doing when their teasers comes out in the summer is the time that everyone wants to ski most, because they see shit and think to themselves "that's what it's about right there". The field productions teaser gave me this vibe, as long as LSS. I've never been so excited to ski in my life.

a couple years ago when mike metzger did the first backflip in the X-games everyone including me thought that was the most rediculous thing ever and now that wouldn't get you jack shit in the x-games

Action sports should progress more in terms of style rather than crazy motherfuckers shit. It`s fun to watch these guys though.

^ Not to mention the different variations of the mega ramp that are going to show up at later X-Games.

I think they go faster than that. For the Great Wall of China jump Danny Way hit the take-off at nearly 60mph.
Progression will become about style and variation once consequnence becomes to high. There is a point at which 'mind-over-matter' breaks down and physics become inescapable. They can only go so big and spin so much before the rules of our universe, coupled with the will to survive, overcome the human spirit and hault progression.
