Or vice versa. If so, what are you planning on doing after college? (where do you go by the way)

i'm an international affairs/economics major and i'm going to go get a master's in finance
You shouldn't get a higher degree in the same field... get something different

i was a business major for awhile. then i figured out that its bullshit and that you dont have to do business to get a good job in the business world. so i switched to something interesting, geography with focus in GIS. that way if i get sick of the corporate bullshit i can go do something else.

It helps; my dad's the VP/CFO of VT student assistance Corp (vsac) and he wouldn't have gotten that without his Masters in Accounting. He's about to start his Doctorate too and that'll get him whatever President's job at a University that he wants, because he's been the VP of a couple of colleges with his masters already.

If you are going to get your masters in finance don't you think that writng the CFA exam might be a bit of a waist of time? It just seems like a masters in finance superseeds the CFA and you would benifit more with like a CMA or something.

yeah, i guess... the schools that i am looking at have their finance masters organized to use a lot of material from the CFA exams... i'm still exploring but its definitely going to be law or master's in finance
