ok im leaving in a lil bit and i have 2 ipod shuffles, the computer picked up the first one and it worked and upddated fine, so now i put in my bros shuffle and its not reading it and showing up to add songs, anyone? help!

try another port.
close down itunes and plug into same port
give it a min to update the new ipod
dont wait till the last minute

you should use winamp instead of itunes...
but try disconnecting the shuffle, restarting itunes, and then plug the shuffle back in and it should work
(that happened to mine when i used itunes)

have you used your bros ipod on that computer before? cause if not then you need to format it.

i gotta a mac and i had the same problem once
if u do have a mac, then go to disc utility then select the ipod drive and hit repair. it'll then erase the drive and try to repair it. then try to mount it. after all that, if its still not showing, restart both machines and it should work.
if u have a windows, then i can't help, but i can laugh at the fact that u have one instead of a mac

so let me get this stright, you think a mac is better?
you just told me to format my ipod? thats the only way to get it to work.
on a PC you just close the program and plug the other ipod in. not losing a single song.
seems like your mac is incapable of executing simple commands
